Paha Que Cottonwood 10' x 10' Waterproof Shade Shelter

Was looking for a well-made shelter for Scout camping trips and the beach. This seems to be it. At the time of this review have only used it once. This unit is much lighter than the pop-up shelters and does require some assembly, but it goes together very easily with two people. Sturdy metal poles slide through the sleeves and the whole thing can be erected in five minutes. No push-buttons in the poles to rust or get stuck from sand. It is also much lighter and more compact than a pop-up type, and comes with a sturdy canvas storage bag with an interior bag for poles and stakes. I do wish the guy lines were reflective, however. As options, the shelter can be equipped with a rain fly and up to four sidewalls. Under the light rain conditions experienced in the first outing no fly was needed, but I have ordered the fly plus two sidewalls. I suspect under heavy rain the fly will be a welcome addition. I would not recommend using this shelter without staking it down or sandbags because of its light weight.
