I found out about these from a neighbor and my wife and I were looking to do something for our pond. We priced out building a wooden dock as well as something metal. The wood route was definitely the cheapest, but once we started thinking about the maintenance side of things we began to reconsider. Afterall we were looking to get something for the kids, and the thought of splinters and rusty nails was a huge snag. Next on the list was metal, which was actually priced higher per square foot than the 11 ft. X 11 ft. platform that we found on overstock. A waste of money. Used in on my inflatable kayak. It did not stay put , kept slipping and moving around while spinning my boat out of the wind. Could not get it to move my boat forward even when I used my paddle as a rudder. I contacted Sea Eagle to get help and they never returned my inquiries. This QuikSail is useless. A great idea that just doesn't work. Unfortunely I bought it in the spring and didn't use it until the summer so I am unable to return it. Total bummer. I was super excited about it and it ended up that I just threw $$ out the window. Save your money, save the frustration. So far Sea Eagle bites it big time with the lack of costumer service. too bad... as I was about to upgrade to one of their expensive boats. No way will I buy from them again.
