  • Quality 1911 Upgrade

I own a wonderful Springfield Trophy Match. The only issue I had with this high quality 1911 is that it came with a factory installed two piece guide rod making it inconvenient for field stripping since you must always carry an allen wrench. This Wilson one piece, push button guide rod makes field stripping simple, no allen wrench required. If you are purchasing one for your 1911 make sure you get the correct size. This one is for the 5 inch Government model 1911. They are available in other sizes, e.g. as 4 inch Commander.

  • Does NOT work with factory 10/22 with gunsmithing

I gave this sear a "Fair" rating because It needs to be filed down before installation. The shorter end of the sear is too long and prevents the factory safety from engaging. To make the safety work, you need to file it down about 1/16". Maybe if you are using it with the complete Volquartsen trigger group you may not have this problem. But for sure, with the factory trigger group it must be filed down.

People say that this item isn't necessary for the performance of the weapon. I ask, then why make it , and why do people use it? It's obvious to me that it certainly does enhance the performance by simply keeping the slide spring uniform and straight, therefore making the action smoother. I have no problems with my peice so I have nothing but positive things to say about it.
