  • Don't Waste Your Money

    Dec 29, 2014

    bjr2014  from Philadelphia, PA, Rating:1.0

Received the table very quickly. Assembled the table and following the directions to level it. The directions stated to make small adjustments and let it adapt to the room. While making an adjustment, one of the screws broke. Before the screw broke, we could never get the table to level out, the pucks kept falling off the table in the middle and one end no matter what adjustments were made. Requested a return and after many phone calls and emails, they issued a credit. After doing research on a replacement, we were told that these table are "not real shuffleboard tables" and more suited for just kids. The playing surface of this table is only 1.5" and no epoxy seal on it. It would be worth your while to save your money and buy a better quality table. This table is worthless since trying to play a game on a table that won't level is impossible. If you do buy this, save the packaging, because you will need it to return it.

    great fun once assembled

    May 30, 2013

It takes about 3 hours to assemble and a lot of patience. Directions are terrible and not detailed enough. I recommend loosely tightening screws until you're sure you've assembled it correctly. Our game came with a broken scoreboard, bent rim and ball with a hole in it. Overstock was great in sending replacement parts. Thank god because after spending so long to assemble it I wasn't about to take it apart and rebox it. I gave 4 stars because once assembled and everything works, it is a blast. The kids love it.

  • Fun product - after hours of excruciating assembly

I would recommend this to a friend ONLY if they were prepared for a long tedious assembly and understood the following. Plan on: (1) not having all of the required parts. Be sure to check the parts with the inventory list before you start assembly. We were missing a few pieces and one piece was broken. The manufacturer sent us the parts that we needed, no questions asked. But it took about a week to receive. So if you are buying this for a birthday present, for example, you have to factor in that extra time. (2) spending 3 to 6 hours assembling. Seriously. It took us the good part of an afternoon. But we did it watching a football game. Stopped for lunch. Etc. If you're in a hurry to get it done, you're setting yourself up to be really frustrated. For some of the assembly, we needed two people (one person to hold something while the other used the drill, etc). But most of it my husband did on his own. (3) using a drill. For some absurd reason, the table does ...

  • A VERY nice home machine

We love classic games, and we love hockey even more. This game is fun for the kids, but I think the adults seem to get more use out if it. The quality is amazing and I can see us using this for many years to come.

Here is what it says in their description: Includes 24 inch x 48 inch MDF double-sided playing surfaces Includes game parts and playing instructions Includes storage and tote bag Here is what is doesn't say: There are only 3 double-sided playing surfaces. The MDF is very thin on two of the boards, they wobble and move like a piece of sheet metal. The storage bag is very flimsy, mine already tore. My thoughts: I would prefer each board was as thick as the thickest one because it is plenty sturdy. The sturdy board also has a different material as the playing surface cover making it more durable too. The two smaller boards have a plastic type of 'sticker' adhered to them which seems like they may start to wear out quickly (time will tell). They are a great idea and I will probably use the idea to make my own with sturdy MDF wood and paint/draw the surfaces with my own games/fields. Fun idea which can be done on your own. The more difficult part would be recreating the game pieces f...
