THIS WAS THE BEST GIFT FOR OUR YOUNG GRANDSONS. WE ALL ENJOYED LOOKING AT THE SLIDES AND VARIOUS ITEMS UNDER THE SCOPE. IT WIILL BE VERY EDUCATIONAL FOR THEM. ALL OF THE ADULTS ENJOYED THE EXCITEMENT OF THE CHILDREN DISCOVERING NAILS AND HAIR. THIS SCOPE WITH IT WILL TAKE THEM INTO HIGHSCOOL OR COLLEGE. SLIDES WERE PURCHASED SEPARATELY.

This telescope is extremely cute. it's small enough to sit on the window sill and light enough to carry on trips out of town. i have not yet used it to look at the night sky as i live in the city, but it's been great for people-watching on the busy street outside my window. bought it to take on trips to the countryside. the content of the CD is intimidating, so i think i will just look at the moon.

Looks great, optically lacking. Images are not crystal clear, just OK. They arrived perfectly collimated which is a huge plus. They were borderline in terms of whether or not to return them and the price was right so I decided it wasn't worth the hassle to return them. I'm an amateur astronomer and these will be my "travel scope" so to speak and I could use them for most other observing. Wouldn't recommend them for birding. Image is just not clear enough. Overall, if I had the opportunity to look through them before buying, I would not have bought them. I expected a lot more from Celestron. Sooner or later we're going to stop buying Chinese optics. They just don't cut it like the good 'ol USA, Japanese, and Germans.
- How accurate was the sizing? Product arrived in good condition and as advertised. No problem with my Overstock.com transaction.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Appearancewise, very nice. Collimated perfectly and no visible defects. Optically inferior.
- Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? Yes. As far as I could tell, they were perfect.

double image, one of the prisms must of been out of alignment, just unlucky, very help full and good turn round for full refund.
