Easy Cycle
pjg43  from Shiloh, IL,  Sep 23, 2009
I would recommend this to anyone that can't get out and exercise on their own. Although this machine isn't the best for a good workout it will at least help you move. I wanted something a bit more smooth. There seems to be a spot in the turning radius that "catches" but I'm hoping it will work itself out. Maybe as I ride it more it will be fine. The tension doesn't work that great but it does allow me to get some movement at my desk. I took mine to work so I could do something through the day for some movement for my legs.

I was looking for a way to exercise on a very sedentary job. This mini cycle is light enough for me to transport, easy to assemble, and tires my legs and arms after an hour. The price is comparable to other models. Not ideal if your pedaling on carpet as the cycle tends to slide a bit. But in the gym where I work, sliding across the floor has never been an issue. It's a good buy and investment.

Was extremely pleased at how fast the order arrived and especially so with the quality of the mini-exerciser. Having recently had both knees replaced, I needed to keep the new knees moving to prevent excessive scarring internally. This mini-exerciser was recommended to me by other knee replacement patients. It has helped a lot already and has allowed for improved range of motion. I would recommend it.

NEEDS ADDL SUPPORT
satinmd  from Hughesville, MD,  Sep 4, 2009
I was warned about these peddles and also I read the reviews and ignored them. They are jerky and the machine moves even if put on a non-slick surface. You need to find something very heavy to put in from of the machine to keep it from moving. I haven't figured out a good object yet. So, I wasted my money and ended up going ahead and buying a STAR TRAC 8730 recumbent bike from Overstock - which I LOVE.

mini-cycle
bever  from Dayton, OH,  Aug 28, 2009
Easy to assemble, works well. Since my carpet is thick, I have no problem with slipping which some have mentioned. Unit is light enough to carry easily but heavy enough to stay put as I use it almost daily .

pedal your butt off
dragonbistro  from San Francisco, Ca,  Aug 26, 2009
I was hoping that this machine would solve my problem requiring more leg exercise. Since I spend so much of my time on the internet this seemed like the great product. The only issue is that this machine as not bee test well. There is not enough resistance in the settings for pedaling. Although it's weight can keep this machine in place. The angle of the pedal finds me hitting my knees under the desk leaving me not too motivated to use this. I am afraid this has just become another paper weight. Sorry.

Home Mini Bike
flip92722  from Saratoga Springs, NY,  Aug 23, 2009
Pros: Convenient to use at home. Easy to set goals with the digital screen that displays time and number of pedals.Cons: Not the smoothest pedaling (Seems to get better after a little while whether it's just getting used to it or a break-in period). Making adjustments to resistance is near impossible while pedaling. Slides a little bit on the carpet(Using a pad to keep it from sliding fixed this problem).Overall: I would buy again for the price and convenience. Great to use while watching T.V. or just sitting around.

Good Product
palmbay2  from Florida,  Aug 13, 2009
I bought this for my Dad who has heart problems. When I tried it first it was very quite and it didn't move across the floor at all. I also found the tension knob to work. As he used it for awhile it started to make loud noise so they sprayed it with WD40 and it quited down. However, they now notice that the tension knob doesn't really do anything. I haven't checked it myself though. So, there are definately a few kinks in it. However, my Dad is using it. He could only do 2 minutes at first and now can do 10. He also really likes to do the arm excersize with it. So for that I am thrilled with it. He loves the calorie read out. It gives him incentive to keep going.

I bought the mini exercise cycle on the advice of my physical therapist. I have arthritis in knees and cannot use a treadmill. This has made quite a difference.....

Mini Exercise Cycle
spete2  from Virginia,  Jul 7, 2009
I am recovering from a total knee replacement. I needed an affordable stationary cycle as part of my physical therapy. This cycle arrived promptly, was easy to put together, and perfectly meets my needs. It is portable yet sturdy. I have experienced no problems with it slipping during use. The straps are a bit stiff but do work well and are in no way uncomfortable for me. Overall....I am delighted with this product and it helps tremendously in reducing the stiffness one encounters during recovery from knee replacement surgery.

Mini Cycle

The only negative is that it makes a little sound if you turn the pedals anyway but straight on. Other than that, I love it. I can sit right at my computer and work out. i haven't tried the hand and arm part yet but I will do it next. Had hubby put it together and he had it done in flash. Thank you!!!

exercise bike

I'm a little disappoointed in the craftsmanship - there are no rubber seals on the bottom so the thing slips and slides even on carpeting. And the straps on the pedals are all folded up. They are made out of hard plastic so they are not going to unfold too soon. I have to put my own rubber strips on the bottom and get my own velcro to be able to use this.

The cycle worked out well for us as we have limited space for exercisse equipment. It can be stored and brought out to use easily. I am a senior citizen and it wasn't too difficult for me to handle, which was a plus.

Pedal away
lorash  from San Deigo, Ca,  Mar 11, 2009
I bought the little cycle to use at my desk. It is great for keeping my legs moving during prolonged periods of time sitting. I would not use it for aerobic exercise- it really just is not that type of a device. The dial does not put the resistance very high. If you just want to keep your lower body moving instead of just sitting, then get this type of cycle. I use the body bugg and it does burn more calories than just sitting. You can pedal away and no one will even know it. I actually sit on a stability ball and use it. It works fine with a regular office chair or the stability ball.

Mini Exercise Cycle
sillylee  from :ps Amge;es,  Feb 23, 2009
I had total knee replacement last year and needed someway to use my knee on a regular basis -- pedalling is the best. I found the cycle to be sturdy, stays put while you pedal. Only questionable is that when I've turned the knob to increase the pedalling tension, the pedlaling motion becomes somewhat "jerky" -- it may be that the product is too new to me and I haven't found the proper method of pedalling with more tension on. Very easy to put together (and I'm 72 yrs old).

Good Idea
kmoorephilly  from Philadelphia,  Feb 16, 2009
This cycle was a gift for my mom who is 73 years old and don't like to exercise. She loves it. She can sit in her home and ride as if she is on a bike. The only thing, she doesn't know what the counting of the numbers mean.

Non-user review
thoughtfulhusband  from Chicago, IL,  Jan 28, 2009
I brought this machine for my wife and she seems to like it a lot. She uses it every day and it appears to be doing the job it was designed to do. My wife had knee replacement surgery about 3 years ago and wanted a small portable machine she could use in front of the TV . She's been using it for about 3 week now and it's become part of her exercise routine. She has better mobilty in her knee and she's losing weight also. Delivery was good; 4 days from purchase date. Assembly was easy. It took me only 10 minuites to put it together (it comes with its own wrench). Good alternative to a full size stationery bike.

I got this item for my husband to use after his knee surgery. He rode a bike before his surgery and this is a perfect way for him to get some therapy at home before he "hits the road again." I use it too. I love it. It's so easy to watch TV while pedaling away.

Bought this for rehab after knee replacement surgery. Very solid/sturdy and great for this purpose. Small enough to hide in a closet or under a bed/end table when not being used.
