Overall not too bad. However the legs are on the long side even with my boots. I have to tie them up too avoid tripping my heels. The item does keep you dry and warm.

The mittens I got do not have yellow palms. They seem well made but have finger pockets inside which I do not like, but otherwise keep my fingers warm enough during a work-out of shoveling.

  • Okay outer part, terrible inner lining

    Feb 10, 2015

    Mikhail T. Rating:1.0

I wanted a new pair for backcountry snowboarding. Deerskin seemed like a good material to grab tree branches once in a while. It does seem a bit thin, but holds well loosing just cosmetic appearance but not an integrity. However the inner linings are just terrible. They are getting wet inside pretty fast. This alone does not bother me as long as they are warm. And they are! They also tend to retain moisture. They do not dry overnight while my other gloves do just fine. When wet, the lining inside is easily susceptible to tearing. Somehow I managed to poke a hole with my middle finger. I am not certain but it seems like it was not along the seem. Another frustration is that gauntlet strap lock is too far away from a mitt thus making it impossible to tighten the gauntlet by pulling the strap with another hand. But that is okay as I do not get snow in even with loose gauntlets. Though the adjustment mechanism is just pointless.
