I am not sure which mosquitos were confused by this "blocker" but they were not the ones swarming me. I left the repeller on for 20 minutes and the mosquitos did not seem to be repelled nor distracted by this makeshift solar lantern. I would not recommend this latern for anyone who is getting this to repell the bugs!
