It is a little bit of a challenge to construct the designs since we have a house that is over a 100 years old and the floors are not perfectly level. The directions are not wonderful either so the first day was not so fun but my husband and I got better at constructing the designs. Our almost 6 year old seems to like it. It will be years before he could put any designs together himself but he can help now. We'll see how interested he is in it over time.

This is a fun toy for my 7 year old, but she couldn't do it w/o her dad. All 3 of my girls like to play with it once it is built and enjoy helping dad build it. THe lights and music are fun. Also, we saw it at the local chain bookstore for $99 the other day and all were impressed with the amazing deal I got here.

This is the second one of these that we have bought. Our 7 year has one and our 4 year old insisted on his own. Neither can put together on his own and it will need an adult to put it together. Once together it seems to keep their attention for awhile.

This is a really fun toy! My son got a little bored with it fast though. He said "all you do is sit here and watch the marbles go around". I encouraged him to turn it off and make the marbles go around himself. It is still fun, there are lots of different roller coasters you can build but not all of them work real great. We did figure out ways to change them so they would work better. Overall a good product.

I found this item to keep me and my kids busy for a few hours at a time. You can build up to ten different coasters via the designs published in the instruction booklet. You can also design your own layout. Overall, I give this a "4 star" due to the somewhat confusing intruction booklet and to the plastic connectors used to attach the coaster tracks together. For kids that like to be challenged with "puzzle" type games, I would recommend this.
