It was acceptable as a decoration
If you're looking into buying this bipod as a prop for your m14, or m1 (real or replica rifle), then I would suggest that you buy it because you will not find the correct bipod elsewhere for a similar price. However, if you are looking into having a bipod that will survive being banged around, abused, slammed, and used in mil-sim combat, look elsewhere. It *is* made of steel, but it isn't very robust steel. A good portion of the bipod is hollow. Also, if you're looking into buying this bipod, it will most likely need to be modified to work properly. When mine arrived, the lips of the bipod that clamp on the gas tube, and allow the bipod to swivel back and forth were crammed together and locked tight with the powder coat paint. I had to take the bipoid apart, sand the paint off of the moving parts, and then oil the parts. All of the parts need oil. Most moving parts need to be sanded. All in all, it was a glad buy for only about $**

Makes the rifle a bit heavy, but solid as a rock after you get the bipod tightened down.

Junk China crap
Ok boys get the files and the dremel out for this one. Needs to be fitted to my US made M1a. Poorly made quality wise. Will be good for the range nothing else. Would not be running with this and drop to the prone and expected this to work. $$$ and free shipping, that’s the only reason it’s not going back.

fit rifle fine, bolt was a little tight, but some wd-40 took care of that, worth the money!!!

You will need a Dremel Tool or Hand Grinder
Typical Chinese quality, but needs to be fitted before it will work correctly. I ordered it for my Springfield Armory M1A. When it arrived and I tried to install it, it was immediately apparent that the Clamp that attaches to the Gas Cylinder Housing was not within specifications and only one side of the clamp would attach properly. I ended up using a hand grinder to take off the lips on one side. At least that way, one side of the Clamp would grip properly and allow a snug fit. The lips on the clamp were cut a full 1/16th of an inch to short. Then I found the right Pivot Leg would not snap/lock into position when it was extended and the Left Pivot leg would not snap/lock into position when it was folded. I had to enlarge the Locking cuts/holes almost a 1/16 of an inch wider and deeper to allow the pins to lock. I took it out and fired 100 rounds and functioned properly. If you don't mind spending about 20 minutes "fitting" to your gun, it's a good deal for the money.
