This was purchased for my Grandson age 3 1/2. He loves it. It works very well and we found it to be a good tool for teaching him to hold a pencil/pen and to make marks the way he really wants them to be. The car follows them perfectly as described. I recommend this toy for any age. His parents are going to try to use the pen on regular paper as the mat that came with the car has been creased where folded and sometimes stops the car at the creases. My Grandson says it's "Way Cool".

Purchased 2 of the line chasers thinking they would be a fun gift for our twin grandsons who turn 4 next month. What a disappointment. The paper mat you draw the lines on needs to be made out of thicker paper or something else. They are now in the trash because they tore in half within a day. And the cars do not follow the lines you draw. This gift was a joke! A total WASTE of money!!! I plan to request my money be returned.
