This machine is well built and I feel comfortable using it. It is a good warm-up before doing mass building exercises or for pre-exhaust, supersetting and circuit training. Do not expect to build large muscles just using this machine. It is a good isolation machine and good for toning if that is your intent. Make sure to use proper form and a slow rep count for safety reasons. The price here is the lowest I seen anywhere.
I have a 15 yr old daughter with a spinal cord injury--a paraplegic, so bought for home physcial therapy. She insisted putting the machine together on her own, which I encouraged. There were soooo many pieces with instructions not so comprehensible. Her brother, who's very mechanically inclined, was able to discern what needed to be done, but my daughter put nearly all of it together on her own. The pieces that didn't seem to fit together have little inside screw fittings that need to be unscrewed first with the hex keys before fitting metal tubes inside. Overall, the machine is well built, heavy-duty, durable and appears will last a very long time. My fault for relying on my daughter to read what all was included in the set, otherwise, I would have gotten a machine with weights included.
It took most of a day to assemble this product. Everything was present but directions on either assembly or use (none on the company's website, either). Now that it's together, I like it a lot. It's very sturdy, well-designed, and comfortable. But a parts list and exploded picture of where the various pieces go is not a substitute for clear instructions on how to proceed with putting this exercise machine together. Also, while use of a leg curl machine isn't rocket science, it might be nice to have some basic instruction as to seat and weight position, and even some help with what weights to start with, number of reps, etc. So, bottom line, good product at a good price, but would have been five stars with assembly and use instructions.
