This product does not work! Just while testing the detector to calibrate we found it could not identify anything we put on the floor! Let alone was buried in dirt or sand or mud! The only item it could identify was a large pair of metal scissors with the base right on top of them. Sweeping action availed nothing! When we put coins and jewelry on the floor to test it did not beep at all even with being right on top of the items. DO NOT BUY! Waste of time and money!
great idea BUT within a short time you lose the light. This is because the batteries stop making contact. You can push/pull the contacts into place but not if you're elderly and don't see well in the first place.
Bought this for my 15 month old nephew. A little advanced for him now but he enjoyed playing with it. It's nice to find a toy that is simple but still stimulates the brain to learn. I ordered a second one for my 24 month old niece.
