Nicely cut steel, well-balanced blade, light and swings easily. My sole issue was it comes crudely sharpened at best and unless you have a sharpening wheel, it takes some effort to grind the edge down with a whetstone and then hone it to a smooth supersharp finish. Used 400 grit to start, then 1500 to finish. Once that's done, though, it'll cut right through the brambles, thickets and bushes with ease. So light even older arthritic shoulders and wrists don't get overly fatigued swinging and handling it. The textured grip is nice, but if your hands get slippery sap or grease on them, you can lose your grip. Suggest wearing good leather work gloves if you're planning on an afternoon of hillside brush clearance. Incidentally, hillside brush clearance is what I bought it for and it's definitely a keeper. I'm considering getting another for my brother.

I really like these pens. They look good, they are well made, and pretty comfortable to write with. They also don't have overly aggressive edges, and they look like a normal pen. Get one!

  • Knife is good but... style?

The black etching on the sides are actually separate metal pieces attached with a dab of glue. Given that the rest of the knife is so durable this is ridiculous cause the one fell off on first day when I tossed the knife onto a counter. Later I removed the belt clip and the other one fell off. Knife is still good, but the etching thing is such a waste.

Blade has a decent edge. Knife is cheaply made. Compass is size of a pinky fingernail, but seems to work. Knife does float as stated. Scabbard broke first time I tried to wear it. You get what you pay for.

Cheaply made knife with a good edge on the blade. Decent pocket-sized knife that you don't have to worry about breaking the bank to replace.
