For its low price, this is a pretty good deal. However, as a baselayer, it's not the most comfortable article of clothing I've ever worn. While the polypro interior is smooth and very comfortable, the polyester and wool fibers on the outside will poke through and create a minor itch. It's nothing too serious, but you may want to consider wearing something under these.The thermal properties are relatively good. It stays pretty dry and does a pretty good job blocking wind. It retains body heat well without making me feel like I'm overheating.
