Impex Marcy Mid-size Workout Bench with Arm Curl Pad

I will start by saying that I buy from overstock all the time and this was no fault of theirs. I also currently own an IMPEX bench that I have had for about 10 years and I LOVE. It's just getting old and the padding is falling apart. I bought this bench to get somethin newer and nicer, but was disappointed for what I need. Firstly, the bench leg has a huge dent in it and a couple of the adjusters for height won't screw in as they should. Secondly, I noticed that the "flat" bench position has a slight decline to it where you feel like you are tipped backwards. The curl pad is a bit smaller than my old one and not quite as big as I thought it would be in the picture, but still larger than many out there. The curl pad also does not have much room to put your legs under when doing a press unless it is high up or off and the positions of adjustment seem to be too high or too low with no middle ground. I could get used to all of these things, but my biggest beef lies in the spacing of the bar stand. I have an Olympic set of weights and am used to a wide grip with my index fingers on the groove of the bar. This bench will only allow you room to put your pinkie finger on the groove giving you a closer grip and lesser stretch. Maybe I missed the memo on a mid-size bench as this is advertized, so could be my fault. I am going to try to sell it locally and am going back to my old bench. Maybe I can get it reapolstered. The bench is well made and pretty sturdy, but just not for me.
