We had checked this out at the store and one day I decided to check out the web sites, I was surprised to find it here at half the price, what a deal! It came fast and in excellent condition.

  • Exactly what I needed in a backpack

I was looking for a better style of camouflage backpack to carry a camera with a large telephoto lens into the field for wildlife photography. I looked at many different kinds of bags/packs and virtually all were the same basic backpack design. I did not want the standard design because the camera and lens would end up at the bottom of the bag and be a struggle to pull out, especially if there were other items in the bag. Not this Big Bear Pack. The main compartment measures 17" long by 6"' deep by 8" tall. My Canon 5D with the new telephoto attached measures 17" and fits perfectly and snuggly inside and is easily pulled out. The camera does not shift around while I walk. The forward pouch then holds my other smaller lens. I keep the top of the pack rolled down until it starts to get warm; then roll up the upper part of the back and I can peel off my jacket or sweater and put it into the separate upper part to keep my hands free, without interfering with pulling the camera out. I was impressed with the overall build quality and the ability to extend the pack to a three day back from its butt pack configuration. The camo pattern is fine, stitching is great and the design features well thought out. Loaded, the pack is quite comfortable...just do not overload it. Thus, if you need more room to stash a jacket, poncho, survival kit and several days of food. it will do so and very easily. This is a great pack for trail hiking, photographers and especially hunters and fishermen. I highly recommend and it and Overstock is a good company to deal with. Enjoy!

  • Awesome hunting pack

This pack is perfect for its intension. Well constructed, compact, light, and perfect for a days hunt. I would even be comfortable using this pack on an overnighter. This is by far the most comforatable pack I have owned and would highly recommend this to anyone. I used to have a small badlands scout pack which was nice, but I wanted something a bit bigger- this is the ticket. Quality is very comparable to other high end packs out there and price is half of those. The bow/gun holder works great and there is plenty of room for all your necessities while out in the field.
