The ear muffs are very compact, they are some of the thinest ones I've seen. They offer good hearing protection when the noise is loud plus they are very good at magnifying sounds. I can hear very well with these on. They are comfortable to wear as they are fairly light. I am very happy with this purchase. Plus they come with a sound cord so you can hook up your mp3 player. I was most pleased with the sound enhancement of this unit. Excellent enhancement. Not as good as professional hearing aids but very close to.

I was turned onto these by my cousin. I'd been looking at several different brands & models, but just wasn't satisfied with any until I tried these. The low profile does't interfere with normal siting. They muffle shots better than any of the others that I've tried & the amplification feature is a pleasant bonus allowing you to hear, & locate the direction that the game coming from anywhere around you. I could only find one other website that could beat the purchase price, but the shipping cost of overstock beat them out overall. I'd highly recommend these to any hunter wanting protection with an edge.

I expected great things based on previous reviews but was very disappointed. At the range, the left earmuff did not reduce the blast of the person firing in the lane to my left and the loud noise actually hurt my left ear! The earmuffs we on so that was not an issue. I also check the batteries and they were fine. I couldn't take the noise in my left left and had to leave the firing line using the earmuffs provided by the range. Very disappointed to say the least.

Great product , Great price .............I have used these during hunting season and they performed very well. My son tried them also and wants a pair for Christmas . I will purchase the same model again.

The Howard Leight Impact Sport Electronic Earmuffs were a great value. I have used them on the range several times since my purchase. My only complaint is that when wearing eye protection with the earmuffs they do not make a tight seal around the ear. I have used other brands and have not had this problem. To fix this problem, I use a set of foam ear plugs. The electronics in the earmuffs still work great even with the foam ear plugs. I hope this review helps

I tried out a friend's Peltor Tactical muffs, and fell in love with the active noise reduction. The problem was, even though Peltor was 'low profile', it still bumped into my stock in some situations. Based on the low profile look of the Howard Leight muffs, I ordered them and was pleasantly surprised - no interference with the gun mount. It's great to be able to have a conversation on the range when you're not shooting, and they really come in handy if you're launching the birds - you can hear even the most soft spoken shooter call for the birds! The only downside I can see is that the frames don't look too rugged. Though I've only put a few hours on them, time will tell. Overall this is a great value compared to other active muffs out there. I shopped around and Overstock was the best deal too (when you take into account the total cost with shipping)!
