This is a great llittle hot tub. Not only does it plug into a 110v outlet, it has a nice appearance, and a decent # of jets :) It is not large, but can seat 4 adults comfortably. This was very easy to set up *read previous reviews that helped located instructions under side panel* all you need is a level spot and a 110 outlet!

So far so good! We took delivery back in April, I wanted to wait a few months to post a review given some of the issues other purchases have had. We experienced no issues with shipping and the delivery man assisted in getting the unit to the deck in the back yard. So far this hot tub has proven an excellent buy. The fiberglass shell is very heavy, well made with an even thickness. Although probably not what I would pick given the choice, the dark blue finish is gorgeous. We chose the redwood color cabinet and together they are beautiful. The cabinet is a fade proof, durable and attractive material, no wood to rot. Access to the plumbing and pumps is excellent. The top that comes with the unit seems to be of an excellent quality as well. We have had no issues with the controls, setting up or using this hot tub. My husband is in it on a regular basis. There are several jet flow adjustments on the tub. The foot/calf blaster is amazing. Several of the jets are directional to accommodate shorter or taller individuals. We are using neither traditional chlorine nor bromine as they both are harmful to and shorten the life of the pumps, jets and finish plus unfriendly to swimsuits and skin. We have been using "Nature 2 Mineral" spa sticks and supplies as recommended with great success. No red eyes, or itchy, chalky skin and the tub is properly sanitized and clean. Considering the high quality, included color changing LED lights, ozonator, and hot tub cover this is really a lot of bang for your buck. I highly recommend.

This tub is much better than this advertisement will lead you to believe. I was hesitant to buy it because there is a lack of information on Overstock. Here is an actual link to the specific tub. It is a Laguna Bay X6 http://www.lagunabayspas.com/tub.php?id=16 The tub name is "81 Jet" This does not mean that there are 81 individual jets. The foot blaster contains 14 "jets" and there are 3 or 4 seven hole "jets" around the bottom. This is still plenty of jets. Probably 45-50 separate jets. The large switch on the top diverts water either to the foot blaster (awesome by the way) or to the lounger. The middle range is a blend of both. The foot blaster is not shown in the picture on Overstock. The picture and description show a 4 button control panel. Mine came with a much nicer control unit. There is a waterfall directly above the filter. It is controlled by the knob nearest it. Waterfall is adjustable from off to full force. I like it on, but gently. There is a filter included. Shipping was very fast. The website says that it will leave the warehouse in 1 to 10 days, and that shipping will take between 1 and 6 weeks. That gives a delivery window of 8 days to 52 days from the day that you order it! Mine arrived in about two weeks. Only one delivery brought it; but between the two of us we got it exactly where I want it. Everything I read called for 30" space to each wall. I wanted it lined up with a bay window that we have so I cut the space a little short on one side, at a ~25" gap. The side panels come off completely, and I'm relatively thin; 25" is enough for me. Installing the electricity to the tub was harder than I thought it should be. It's a simple design, red, black, white, ground; but difficult in actual execution. I ended up taking apart the "weatherpack" connection so that I could get the wires to the right location. The spa calls for 6/3 wire, which is pretty thick. It seems that the screw connectors are slightly too small. I removed 2 strands of wire from the stripped area (.5" each) I've used the hot tub almost daily since it arrived. Make sure that any clothing worn in the hot tub is washed a second time, WITHOUT soap. I had to change the water after about a week because of the huge amount of soap bubbles in it. Draining the hot tub is not explained in the instructions. There is a hose connection on the bottom of the tub with a cap on it. Removing the cap doesn't start the flow of water. The connection must be pulled out in order to start the flow of water. Remove the cap, connect a water hose, THEN pull the connection out about 2 inches. I found this out only after I drained it using a sump pump. The sump pump did an amazing job and I will continue draining it this way. The whole tub was pumped out in about 6 minutes. After refilling the tub, it took over 12 hours to heat the water from 53F to 101F, at ~60F outside temperature. This is 50% longer than the 8 hours the instruction say to allow. I wish the lighting was a little brighter. The second pump was a little loud. There are instructions on the link above on the Laguna Bay Spa website on how to bleed the pump. That helped quiet it down a little. I'm using a SpaFrog with Bromine and Minerals. It seems to do a good job keeping the tub nice. My electric bill has increased $28 from last month. I assume future months will be less. This month I heated 350 gallons of water from mid 50F, two times. In the future I'll drain the tub only once every three of four months. I hope this helps people considering this purchase.

This hot tub is great, it has a lot more jets than my previous tub and is very therapeutic, we use the tub 4-5 day out of the week. We hooked the up power, filled the tub and hit the power on button and the tub started and has worked perfectly. The only problem that I have had product is some of the stitching on the cover came loose and the hold down strap came loose from the cover, I contacted the cover mfg and they offered to fix the cover no problem after the warrant form was filed. The other problem that I had was the delivery of the tub, the freight company's truck was to small to fit the hot tub in first time, the second time the lift gate broke when they got to my house and they couldn't unload the tub and the thrid time never showed up. I contacted customer service and they took care of the problem and compensated me for all of the problems and my time and then tub was delivered on time without damage.

the hot tub itself, once installed is awesome. minimal chemicals needed, super powerful, this kicks the buts of the top brands that cost $17k. the challenges I mention are as follow: There is no hole to run the power cable through, you need to make your own. The instructions and manual are terrible, no diagrams at all and it is not printed, it comes on a disk. Laguna Bay needs to print a manual and include diagrams. When you remove the side panel under the digitial display, there is a thermoshield you need to cut away, again, they do not mention having to do this in the booklet. the disk is in a bag way up high under the thermo shield. I had an issue with two small parts, called Laguna Bay, and no problem, they sent them, no problem. The delivery guys were a pain in the but, constantly complaining about the weight, difficulty, even asked me to sign a release! It was not until I gave them $20 each that they stopped their complaining. That was the worst part of it actually. In the end, the tub is awesome, a great deal all in all! I checked out Jacuzzi, SUndance, bullfrog, you name it, and this tub, at a third the price, is better. The ozone rocks, you need that, minimal minimal chemicals...

We like the hot tub, suits our needs perfectly. Overstock did an excellent job of getting the hot tub delivered and set where we wanted it. That was where the ease of this whole transaction ended. Nothing but trouble ever since! The hot tub was delivered on the 23 of Sept. On the 24th we called the company to set up having a leak fixed. It looses a cup or so of water a day under the hot tub from one of the jets. We've made numerous calls but they can't seem to get anyone out here to fix it. 31st of October today hoping they get some one out here soon. My husband has to go out every day or two and empty the bowl we have set to catch the water. Can't put the side panel back on cause he has to get to the leak so often. If we'd have know that warranty work was gonna be so difficult to set up, we'd have just bought local.

We got this hot tub over the weekend. We put it up in less than 1/2 hour, filled it and within a day and a half we were soaking in our new tub. We wanted a hot tub but our deck is on the second floor off of our bedroom and didn't know how we would get a regular hot tub up there. I found this portable hot tub, read all the reviews and decided to try it. Boy am I glad we did. It was easy to get up to the second floor, easy to assemble, easy to fill and took a little over a day to heat up to 104 degrees.I just got out of it after 15 minutes....there is an automatic timer and the jets shut off after 15 minutes but that's plenty of time. It lost 3 degrees but I never noticed it (I think all hot tubs do that anyway). It looks great on our redwood deck and my husband, who is 6'4" fits in it perfectly. I'm shorter, 5'1" and bought inflatable spa booster pillows to sit on. The air jets go all the way around so there's no jockeying around to find a jet and they are very powerful. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a great tub for a real deal. Plus what a deal to get all the chemicals and two extra filters. We couldn't be happier.

Because of the nature of it being a plug in hot tub, it takes longer to heat up and the jets are not as powerful as a hot tub wired in. For our needs, however, it is perfect, It did not break the bank, it was/is a good stater tub, looks nice, easy to maintain.

Great Tub...had help placing it on the deck from the delivery personnel and neighbors. No problem hooking it up, filling, testing the water and placing the spa frog float in. Just wish the manual that came with it was more specific for new hot tub owners. Ordered a hot tub book to help. The manual doesn't tell you the tub will go off automatically when it reaches your water temperature and not come on again unless it goes lower so you don't need to keep going back to check it. And it will continue to operate this way daily until you turn it off. The dark blue color is beautiful and really like the jets and colored, rotating light. We found 103-104 degrees was too hot for us so turned it down to 95 degrees. Maybe when the cold weather comes we'll put it back up but for summer the lower temperature is perfect. Great tub for the cost and would recommend it.

I did a lot of online research about various hot tubs out there, and chose this model because of the two 6 hp pumps. I didn't want a wimpy spa. Was not disappointed. The spa is comfortable, roomy, maintains temperature well and has a lot of power in the jets. I move from seat to seat to get a full range of massage options - one for the neck, one for the back, and the lounge for the full body experience. I love the powerful foot jets - exactly what I need after a long day at work. I did have delivery issues, but the problems were with the local company, and Overstock went out of their way to get the problems taken care of and the spa delivered. It took 6 delivery people because this thing is heavy. My boyfriend, who is mechanically inclined, did the set up and wiring. It does require a professional. I'm very happy with my purchase, and recommend both this product and Overstock. Thanks to Toi and everyone in the oversized shipping department for all their help!

I did A TON of research on hot tubs and found that this one was comparable if not better than the ones in the hot tub shops. However, the hot tub shops have to pay the sales guy and the lease payment for the brick and mortar operation so they jack up the price. I saw the same hot tub all over the place for 7-10k. $$$ is a great price for this hot tub. Jets are strong. Love the disco lights and the waterfall. Very happy!

My wife and I bought this as a gift to ourselves for our 25th anniversary. We have always wanted a hot tub and have a great spot under our deck. When we discussed getting a spa for our anniversary, we were concerned about the price yes, but more importantly about how much we will actually use it long term. This is perfect because it is much less expensive than a more permanent spa, easy to assemble and only required a 110 receptacle. It is what it is; a less expensive version of a hot tub, but it does a really nice job. After reading some of the reviews, I was somewhat concerned about quality of the materials and the strength of the massage. This unit is probably not going to give you the same result as a $5K permanent fixture and might not be the best choice if it is to be used for medicinal purposes, but the massage action exceeded my expectations and the quality is about as good as you can get in a portable less expensive option. It heats up to 104 and, as some have stated, it does loose a few degrees while in use. Although, I can not imagine that allot of spas do not loose some heat just by taking off the cover. I have read reviews where they state the unit blows out cold water through the jet ring. I would have to disagree. I find it circulates the water that is already in the hot tub. Granted, it does not heat the water as it circulates through the blower, but the water is the same water that is already in the tub. One recommendation I would make (contrary to the instructions) is I would not recommend using the filter blower to blow up the themal cover and other blow up accessories. I would recommend you blow them up manually. To me, using the blower without water circulating only adds unnecessary wear and tear to the unit. Again it is not a high dollar unit. Overall, if you want the hot tub experience without the hassle and higher cost, this will work out nice for you. The best part is it is easy to replace if we do decide to go with something more permanent and no hassle to get rid of if we grow tired of it. If we like it enough we might just keep it long term.

Well since I used this site to get my review before purchase, I thought I'd add my two cents with a new 2011 review. I received this tub in January 2011. This tub really does take about 30 minutes to set up alone. After the first time, it would probably take 15-20 minutes second time (the removal of packaging is the longest part of the process). It does take a long time to initially warm up to temperature. Now granted in January I was in 15-20 degree temperatures outside. I filled the hot tub from a hose connected from the inside of the house with hot/warm water.Once it is at the temperature you choose ( it will take at least 24 hours minimum) is maintains it well. As others have noted, the air it blows into the tub is outside ambient air. In other words, if its 20 degrees outside, it is blowing in 20 degree air into the tub. There is an air/jets bladder that wraps around the interior of the tub liner where the 150 "jets" (really they are pin sized holes) blow out this air. This bladder is about 6 inches wide and is located at a level in line with your lower back. So when those bubbles reach your shoulder/neck, it is very hard to discern that it is cooler outside air because the air bubbles warm as they rise through the hot tub water. However, some people can tell it is colder air bubbles hitting their lower back when it initially comes out of the air bladder. The effect of this is that you're going to lose 2-4 degrees (depending on the outside air temp) when the jets are on. The jets are on 15 minutes at a time before automatic shut down. So if you run the jets for two cycles (or 30 minutes total) and the tub is initially 102 degrees, the tub will end at 96 degrees in 30 minutes. Now if you simply like to soak in the tub with no jets, it will lose maybe one degree per 10-15 minutes. The filter is a cinch to remove and clean. And the mechanical operation is simple enough a 5 year old can figure it out. A temp button and a jets button. Top heat setting is 104 degrees. Personally I think they could have designed a better top for it. There are about 10 connectors that go around the top cover that you have to connect or disconnect before you remove it to get in or when you're done. And a separate air bladder on top for insulation is just a big plastic bubble you blow up. Finally, you aren't getting more than 4 adult sized people in this. And those 4 people better be two adult couples. Four separate friends might want more personal space. It's perfect for us (me, my wife, and our 6 yr old) with some good room to spare if it were another child about the same age. I'd recommend it for the price. It looks nice. It's comfortable to sit in. And the 120V is nice because you don't have to wire a socket for 220V. I also like the idea that I can move it instantly anywhere. I am sure the reason why the air isn't heated is due to the 120V vs 220V system. I am guessing there is simply a restriction of what lower voltage can accomplish. I'm only 1 1/2 months into my purchase so I can't attest to longevity. I don't see how people/kids would damage the tub liner inside and it is yet to be seen how well the motor will hold up. I take the filter out and clean it by spraying it with a garden hose once a week. That plus normal tub chemicals is all that is needed.

Overall, I am happy with the spa. It was easy to set up, its easy to move, and the size is nice. The jets are not very strong, however, and the motor is pretty loud.

For the price it is a great spa! We have been enjoying it! For me plenty of jets and pressure. If you would be filling the spa with more than 4 people I would look for one with 2 pumps for stronger pressure on all jets. I was told it was pretty difficult to hook up but overall great spa at great price.

We purchased the hot tub on overstocks after looking at retailers in our area. We were able to use a "first time purchaser" coupon XX%. And I sighed up for the O club which gave me $XXX.XX In my account after the item was shipped. The difference in price from area retailers to overstocks was dramatic to say the least. Any hot tub at area retailers that had 2 pumps, a lounge seat, 6 person 80plus jets was well over $XXXX. I would HIGHLY recommend buying it here. We were worried about delivery since the stores that we went to told us there was different price levels for what type of delivery you wanted (curb side being the cheapest, white glove being the most expensive) We were thrilled when the delivery person called to set up a time and told us that we had white glove delivery service. The only thing that cost us more money than we had expected was the electrician. First of all we wasted some time looking for an owners manual on line when the electrican showed up only to find out that the manual was in the side electrical panel of the hot tub. It took him all day to figure out if our existing box could support the hot tub and get it going. The water took a good 15 plus hours to heat. We use it everyday and we are in the middle of a very cold winter in NJ. I absolutely love it!

I didn't buy this from Overstock and this tub sells by different "Brand" names depending on where you buy. My husband and I bought ours directly from the factory. Its important that you know what this is no matter where you are purchasing. The delivery as some others have stated, is just wrong ... We had white glove delivery"? Which was one man for a 600 lb spa - dry wt. He had a lift truck and removed all the packaging (which means you can't return it) then put it on its side onto his flat dolly and mine flat dolly (telling me he wasn't supposed to move it from the truck to its resting spot normally but since he and I both had a dolly he would do it this one time!) ... and pushed it up hill in the driveway about 50 ft, then the way was flat and paved, I'm not sure what he does if not the easy access to the back yard like we have! I had to be the spotter for him making sure he pushed it straight an not into something. When he got it to the spot we'd chosen, he literally pushed it over and it slammed onto its bottom (was on its side on the dollies), then shoved it into place. I'd had a spa before so I knew what is involved in prepping the area (Level 4 inch thick concrete) and arranged an electrician for another $1000 - due to the distance from the electrical panel. Filled it and have been disappointed ever since. In our one pump model, the one speed pump isn't enough somehow, the way this is made to power all the jets at once and there is actually a converter lever to change the flow to one side or the other! Strange because my Marquis spa had a less powerful pump but more powerful jet action than this higher HP pump... There was dirt in the lines we thought and we had to drain the tub numerous times and change ruined a few filters before figuring out it was the Nature Spa 2 sticks that were just spewing dirt into the tub! Draining is easy but the last 6 inches of water must be baled out by hand or by hand pump. We contacted the manufacturer numerous times about the low jet pressure and they changed the pump replacing with the same one speed pump. They claim this is a two speed pump but no - there is on and off and that is what they call a two speed pump. I wrote to the BBB which was useless since the company had offered to take it back if we packed and shipped it (about 2k were my estimates since it needed to be reboxed as that was all taken away by the white glove) and also they changed the pump out after I hounded them so much they just wanted to quiet me, fully knowing on their part that the result would be the same. Now a year later the electrical panel blacked out - pump and heater work but you can't tell what the temp is or what its doing other than that two speed pump = on and off. My husband uses the jets on one side for a bit and then we move the lever so I can have the jets but even so the power isn't enough to swirl the water as you look from the top. Its comically upsetting. Overstock really back their products, delivery and service and had we known these were sold here at o.co we would have bought here as the cost was equivalent ...although the factory allowed us to choose the interior and exterior colors its a mute point isn't it since it doesn't work right... comically frustrating. So, don't buy this spa.... or buy it from Overstock, because I believe they will make it right for you. I'm a long time Overstock customer with purchases from home ( large leather sofas, beds, mattresses, lighting, large rugs) to lingerie and everything in between. Overstock has never let me down in that, when something is wrong with the item or missing from the package or I just changed my mind, Overstock has made it right == accepted returns, sent missing parts, provided reimbursement for issue resolution (repairs or whatnot). I'm a fan of Overstock.

Ive had this spa for over 3 months now and it works great. Was hard to install but once I got it to my backyard and hooked up it heated in like 6 hours. Jets have a bunch of pressure and the led lighting is wonderful. This spa is highly recomended as my whole family has gotten great use of it so far.

Other reviews were spot on! An excellent buy and the quality exceeded my expectations! Powerful jets and the dark blue color is great, especially while star gazing at night--this spa just blends in with the scenery! Was a little expensive to have moved from our curb to the back yard, plus paying an electrician to wire it up. Very much worth it! We use it every night. Not sure what I did before owning it!

Had a few problems with this tub that we had to call out the service center for and the pillow cushions didn't hold up. They started falling apart after about six months. At 9 months had to put a new heater in it. And after seven month the plastic on the jets started breaking. Be careful. Would not buy this tub again.
