    I bought this because I got tired of punching a code into a battery powered safe. The RFID option is excellent because it will give you much quicker access to your pistol in the event of an emergency. The unit is quite loud, so that alone will hopefully scare away an intruder. If it does not, you at least have a leg up in being able to draw and fire much quicker. It comes with a cable to ensure it stays locked and in the right place. You can also mount to the wall with an enclosed mounting template. Large frame pistols - 1911, Glock 17, S&W M&P, etc seem to fit best. Buy with confidence, and pray you never have to use it.
