We got this easel for our 3 year old and she loves it. She paints on it almost every day. It is very sturdy and it doesn't seem like it could be knocked over very easy. We have it on the table top setting for her so it should grow with her for a long time. The paper does seem to slide out of the clips sometimes but that hasn't been a big deal so far.
