Gorgeous, functional and made to last! I am so happy with this table and the matching chairs. This table is built to last generations. The color is a nice medium brown with little or no cherry red color. The finish is a nice satin "hand-rubbed look." There are actually two nested table tops with the top surface as pictured for dining. The opposite side has a removable inlaid leather top. The outer edge has cup and poker chip holders. The entire top can be lifted off to reveal another top with a two-sided game board (checkers/backgammon). There are no cup holders or any other indentations on this game top. There is a large storage area under the game board to store game pieces. This table is a keeper. Quick and easy to assemble and delivery took about 10 days to California.

This table actually has 2 tops that nest together. The top table has a subtle "inlaid look", all the same color with a beautiful satin "hand-rubbed look" finish. The cherry color isn't really red at all. The color is just a medium brown. The flip side of the top table has a very nice leather inset that is remove able (attached with Velcro). The outer rim has generously sized cup holder with inlaid cork as well as large poker chip indentations next to each of the 4 cup holders. The top has enough weight to keep it in place. The table top that is underneath has the same finish with a removable 2-sided game board for checkers and backgammon. The game board is easily removed to reveal storage for game pieces underneath. There are dime-sized spacers on this tabletop that prevent scratching when the upper tabletop is put on top. The spacers do not detract from the beauty. The wood game board is nicely stained light and dark wood colors with the game board design.
