    • Doesn't keep you warm

Went camping in northern california where the temperature reached the upper 40's at night. The sleeping bag didn't keep me warm at all. I had to buy a separate blanket and use it under the sleeping bag.

    • Awesome bag

I actually have one of these Summit bags in the 35 degree and one in the 20 degree. These bags are light weight and warm. (The Summit series is High Peak's basic bag. Their higher end ones have an even lighter weight to warmth ratio and are designed for serious backpackers.) I live in the mountains and when I camp it is usually over 4000 ft and in the fall. I have used the 20 degree in temps down into the low to mid 30's and was VERY warm. Even had to vent the bag and wished I had brought the 35 instead! A friend has actually taken one of the 20 degree bags on a hike high into the Peruvian Andes and was thrilled. Taking it on an AT through hike next he says. The 35 degree is comfortable into the upper 30s and even lower with a propper ground pad and a tent. I can't say enough good things about this gear. High Peak has been a popular company in Europe for a while now. They are just getting a solid foothold in the US, but it is a very reputable company with high quality gear that won't break the bank!

    • Nice!

First OverStock had one of the best prices, and fast shipping. I was very pleased with sleeping bags, look to be well made, will some nice features. I'm 6' 5" , 230 lbs and did not feel cramped or tight at all. 35 degree was the warmest High Peak offered and it still seemed too warm in my short test trial. But just plan on using it for summer kayak trips so should be plenty warm.

    • Awesome for the price!

My wife got me this sleeping bag for a backpacking trip to Sequoia Nation Park. When it arrived it was light, compact and looked well constructed. The only issue was that it was orange on the website and red in person which I didn't mind. The only other issue and frankly the only issue I have had with this item is the stuff sack it comes in is eeeexxxxtremely tight to pull over the sleeping bag. Luckily that doesn't hurt the performance of this sleeping bag. Obviously this is a 35 degree bag so it's not meant for extremely cold weather but one night it got below freezing and I still slept fine. I threw a couple of hand warmers in the sleeping bag before bed and I was cozy the whole night. For moderate temperatures it is great too. I'm 5'10" and there was plenty of room and when it got cold it cinched over my head and surrounded everything except my nose and mouth. Like I said, awesome for the price.
