I purchased this item for my son to use hiking & camping and has been very happy with the product. He was able to pack everything he needed and carry it comfortably.

Great pack for price

maebus00 from Buffalo, NY, Feb 3, 2009

I ordered this as an alternative to my Kelty 5600 Red Cloud pack which I use on week (or longer) long trips. I wanted something in the 3500-4000 range. I saw this and read some reviews on other sites which were all encouraging. I ordered it an am impressed for the most part. Here is my take.Positives:- Well made- Lots of lash points- well padded back and straps- Ski compatible- Very light weight- Very nice strap adjustment systems, best I have worked with.Negatives:- No hydration compartment. Will need external chamber.- Adjustment of torso length not well designed but workable.- Only tunnel access.Over all I really like that pack and would recommend it for beginner to intermediate backpackers or someone looking for a inexpensive second pack. I am sold on this brand and would consider getting another by High Peak to compliment this one.
