First off, I'm 81 years old. I have a Cardio-Glide, a stepper, and a vibrating platform, none of which I had been using much during my husband's long illness -- at least, not enough to be helpful. I'm also very heavy. One thing none of the above helped was hand and wrist strength. Since I have moderate arthritis in my hands, wrists and shoulders, I wanted to find some light to medium weights to add to my plans to improve my fitness and, hence, improve blood pressure, circulation, etc. These are absolutely perfect because not only can you change the amount of the weight from one to three pounds per "dumbbell," the strap makes up for the fact I don't have a very strong grip -- you wouldn't want to drop them on your feet! Nothing I can prove so far, but I also have a suspicion that marching in place, for instance, while swinging these should go a long way towards improving my gradually increasing loss of balance, if for no other reason than I will have to pay attention to the weight shifts.
- Did the product fit true to size? Yes

I have been using this product for the last three weeks and have been very have with it. It allows you to open and close yours hands during a workout. With out the fear of the dropping them. I have not used the CD yet, but plan to in the future.
These are great for using on my daily walks. I started with the 1 pound weights on each hand, then changed to 2 lbs. I love the storage kit these come in.
These little gems are definitely worth the money. I use them while I run and they are a great tool! I thought they wouldn't provide me with any benefit, but even at the 2 pound weight it is a game changer. I'm 6' tall and 230 pounds. When I go running, even the little amount of weight adds a new dimension to my workout. They're comfortable across my hands and seem like they're pretty sturdy. I haven't watched the video and most likely won't as I bought them solely for running purposes. If you're in doubt about these, don't be. They were definitely worth the money!
excellent product, easy to use, came with an instruction book and a DVD which werent even mentioned at the site, plus, very fast delivery as usual
I use this always when I exercise. The case had few crack when it arrived, but not too devastating cracks. The case still hold and all the parts are intact and easy to change the weights. Handle is very comfortable. The set arrived one day after I ordered it! I was very impressed. Highly recommended
Very happy with the product and service. I received it (Canada) within 1 week from the order date. I would definitely order from this site again.
I've used this weight set and DVD a couple of times and like it very much. The workouts are tiered so that you can work up to the highest intensity. The adjustments in intensity are well nuanced so that you can gauge just how much effort you need to put in to maximize your personalized workout. The Heavyhands are easy to change in the size weights that you need. I began with the 1lb. and have graduated to 2lbs. I broke a sweat at both levels; I can only imagine what 3lbs. will be like. Overall, it is a great workout for novices and experienced alike. I highly recommend it.
Great product at a fair price, could not find anywhere else at a lower price.
very durable and the dvd is easy to follow and it works.^^
These weights are the best by far for the purpose they're designed for. Doesn't matter if you're walking, jogging, running, whatever they are comfortable well made hand weights. Excellent investment on my part and value via Overstock's hard to beat.
The product arrived quickly, and I put it to use already. I do have to "fight" iver them with my children as they love them, too. Haave not viewed the DVD, so I cannot rate if. I just use them for "power walks" and exercising my arms as I work around the house. They are economical and convenient.
Product as promised. I have another set of these weights (in storage) purchased in 1983: the 2007 models are just as good. The video is a plus because you learn how to use the weights safely. PanAerobics are and excellent way to get and maintain strength and aerobic capacity. An additional video is on the market that incorporates HeavyHands into 'core strength and endurance training': and excellent add-on! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) (five-smile rating)
