It keeps the floors clear and hasn't fallen over! Definitely a good buy.
We've had this for a few months now. It was pretty easy to put together and is sturdy. It's holding a man's and woman's mountain bike with no issues (we have them facing opposite directions). Would definitely recommend.
I bought this 3 months before moving to a smaller apartment and although I opened the box to check that all parts were there, I never fully assembled it. Now that I have assembled it I found that the drill holes on the main pole are out of alignment with the base, so it does not sit flush against the wall as intended. I now have scuff marks on the wall from the rubber tip on the upper pole and from the tires as the bikes are angled against the wall.. Some examples on how to place the actual support arms would have been useful as I had several attempts before getting the angles right for my angled bike tubes. Overall this rack probably works beautifully when properly aligned, but mine is not and will probably end up in the trash. A lesson learned: if you don't plan on using it straight away then fully assemble it anyway to make sure it sits flush against the wall. I still recommend it ~ just check the parts!
I ordered 2 of these. The first one was arrived safe and sound. The second one had a split red rubber covering on the end of the metal hanger where the bike hangs. I called and got a new replacement cover. Getting the replacement was easy but the while putting on the new red rubber cap, it too started to split like the first one. The metal bar is simply cut perpendicular and has sharp corners. While pushing it on, it is easy to make the red cover split when it hits the end of the bar. If anyone else does this, you want to push it on but leave an 1/8th of an inch gap so the metal bar DOES NOT MAKE CONTACT with the end of the rubber cap. For a better experience, manufacturing should have rounded the corners after cutting the metal and made the red rubber covers a little thicker (than paper). The red rubber covers are extremely thin. I didn't use this device as advertised. I used the basic design but I modified it and attached it to the side of the garage without the base. This allowed me to have a bar which held the 4 bikes on the side of the garage under the eves and off the ground. The eves of the garage prevented rain from hitting them but I used tarps as well to cover the rubber tires from the sun. I bought these because they met the basic design without completely designing my own. I wasn't too concern with the red covers since I used rubber water pipe insulation for better protection.
I'm not sure whether it's our floors or the rack, but we have to put books underneath one of the legs to level it. We tried different rooms and ended up with the same results, so I don't think it's the floors.
Great product, amazing price! Arrived quickly, easy setup. Good solution to limited storage.
Our bikes took up too much room in the garage. The is exactly what we need. It holds the bikes securely. As a benefit..it was easy to assemble. We would recommend this bike holder.
This bike-tree snaps together easily and is sturdy once assembled. The arms are easily adjusted to accomodate the height of your bikest.Even though you don't attach any hardware or make any permanent holes in your wall, you still MUST lean the bike tree against a wall. It seems to be very sturdy once it is in place. The legs stick out further than most bikes do from the wall, but is narrower than the lenght of a bike.Overall, I ended up with a good quality product at a reasonable price and I would buy this product again.
I had purchase this rack based upon other user reviews. It is a good rack but not very good for mountain bikes. My came without one of the lock pins but I managed to make it work by drilling a hole strainght through and securing it with a long bolt. This rack needs a good strong wall to lean on and my rack scratched and marred the wall with a black mark from the rubber pad. It is good deal for the price.
nice bike rack that does not need to be attached to the wall
Overall I'm very pleased with the bike stand. It was a snap to put together and it holds my Trek mountain bike and Trek road bike easily. When placed against the wall and loaded up with the bikes, the stand is sturdy and solid. My only complaint is that you have to adjust the bike holders (for bikes with slanted top tubes, like mountain bikes or city commuter bikes) before you mount them to the stand. It took a few tries to get the angle correct. Recommended for folks who want to store your bikes out of the way without taking up much space.
I purchased 2 racks. Nice and solid rack for bike storage. Easy assembly. The only issue I had was one of the holes was not drilled appropriately and I had to make a minor adjustment. Other than that, I would purchase again.
Very easy to assemble, part was missing, called company, left message, part arrived very quickly, they followed up to make sure everything was OK. Made of heavy metal. Great bike rack. I have two ladies bike and it works well with them.
it's strong, super easy to assemble (4 parts), doesn't scuff the wall and holds our bikes out of the way in our tiny apt. We're thrilled with this.
