The Oregon Scientific Talking Heart Rate Monitor is the only brand on the market that talks. It doesn't adhere to the body very well, therefore the readings are inaccurate. There were no instructions regarding getting the probes to adhere -- guess I'll try surgical tape. I had that brand once before and it broke within a year. Wish there was more competition out there.

For the visually impaired who need to monitor their heart rate this product fits the bill. Treadmills that have monitors are useless to the visually impaired. This product is programmable and its audio component allows the wearer to do a fitness program tailored to their needs and/or goals. I would definitely recommend it to anyone whether visually impaired or not!

I've used this several times. I run about 16-25 miles a week.
Pros:
1. Fits well and is comfortable during run
2. Heart rate measure seems good (I have nothing to measure it against, but each run was pretty consistent given my pace and conditions)
3. Head phones fit well
Cons:
1. This particular model has fixed time intervals. It's 5 minutes of warm-up, 30 minutes of exercise, and 3 minutes of cool down. You can skip the warm-up and go to exercise, but it's annoying to do this with the voice menu system.
2. When head phones get wet due to sweat, they tended loose sound quality (had to shake it)
3. Hard to naviagate the voice menu system at first; but eventually got it
