Nice product...but beware of customer service.... Gave me the run around on a different (price match) item.. I NEVER wrote a negative review on anybody until now... Too bad...They WERE one of my favorite online sellers
I found this product to be a perfect fit on my rifle. The qualty was solid and reminded me of the kac standard issued broomhandles in the Marine Corps. I would definitely purchase again.
- How accurate was the sizing? good

While the overall quality of the handle is good, the set screw doesn't seat well.
The handle wouldn't lock down at all on my Piccatinny rail of the fore grip of my rifle. I took it apart and ended up cutting away some aluminum material on a lathe in order to get the part to fit. After I removed about 1/8" it tightened up fine! The material I removed was off of the knurled nut area shoulder facing up towards the smaller 1/2" section where it would engage the rail. Someone mentioned grind down the bottom of the grip, but the problem is the threaded portion of the plastic part of the grip needed to be 1/8" deeper. So I can't see how that would have helped unless they just muscled the aluminum part up and made their own threads? I thought of doing that, but didn't want the plastic part to split over time. Another fix would be to add a washer on top of the post section where it would engage the rail and not use the shoulder to fit in one of the cross slots. YMMV - it was cheaper for me to modify it rather than buy a much more $$ handle. I'm not even sure if I like it on since I haven't shot with it installed yet.
and both times it would not lock up to my standard 1913 picatinny UTG quad rail. All other grip products, lights, scopes, work fine. But this grip would not tighten down all the way. I wish it had, it is made well, and for about 14 bucks, it WOULD be a bargain if it fit.
Very sturdy grip, solidly made. Mine did not quite tighten all the way but this was easily fixed by removing a small amount of material from the bottom end. The grip now locks up well and could not be more sturdy.
This product mounted just fine and was easy to use. No problems with it. All the griping surface has a knurl on it and does not slip, even in the heat of AZ (100+) . Good value for the money!
I am amazed that overstock has parts for the AR-15 to begin with....let along a great price on a great part.
The grip is actually made from high impact plastic and steel, not rubber covered aluminum. The grip is an injection molding (Zytel perhaps) with all rough edges removed. A hefty machined bolt screws in from the bottom of the grip and protrudes through the top of the grip to lock it into place on a standard M1913 rail. The bolt is solid steel, weighing almost 1 pound and has a deep gun blue finish. There's no room in the grip for batteries or other accessaries. The grip is long enough to wrap four fingers around it with room to spare. This is not a cheap airsoft grip. It's every bit as solid as my YHM grips that cost five times as much.
Seems to be a sturdy grip for my AR-15. Easy installation on your existing picatinny rail. Gives you better contol when firing
