Sonocaddie Personal Golf GPS System

Since it is still winter, I have only been able to use the Sonocaddie a couple of times. It took a while to locate the required satellites the first time I used it, but after that, the time was reduced greatly. My home course was renovated recently, so the yardages were updated. The sonocaddie was pretty close to what the course yardage markers listed. I haven't tried to add too many additional hazards yet, but once you do a couple, it is pretty easy. The only problem for me is the display is pretty small when in the mode of looking at how far the hazards are. I almost need reading glasses to see everything. The front, center, back of the green mode is very easy to see.

I was looking for something special for my Husband for Christmas and he was both surprised and delighted. It covers the courses he normally goes to. Very user friendly, and best of all---No membership fee required. Would be perfect if it had charging capabilities instead of using rechargable batteries.

This is a great product. My husband has used it each round he's played since Christmas and really has enjoyed the gadget! However, the experience in purchasing this product from Overstock was PAINFUL! Overstock had a similar product and said they had it in stock. Three days later they said they were out and my order was cancelled. After that I had to wait 7 days to get a refund and had pay extra to get this product to me by Christmas Eve. This was a painful experience. Plus Overstock did little to make their mistake right! While the product was a great price, I will have to say I will think twice about ordering from Overstock when it really matters!

My golf GPS was a Christmas gift from my wife. I didn't get to use it until we returned home after the holidays and then it was a couple of weeks before I went to the golf course. Overall I liked the product and found it easy to use and also easy to load the software that came with it. Unfortunately I found the product was off consistantly nine yards as I was comparing it to a friends and also the yardage marked on the T box. I returned the product and was given a complete refund. I will purchase another golf GPS unit just a different brand. I do feel this particular product was defective as in reading other reviews, people were happy with the unit.
