  I bought this as a possible alternate to ny SkyCaddie, with which I have had constant problems. I'd say that the Sonocaddie is a disappointment vis a vis the pictures in the advertisement. Small, not bright scfreen. It's an adequate device, but not great

  There is no monthly fee...you can pay a yearly fee of 29.95 but it is only necessary to get any updates. Other than that it comes loaded with courses.

  I like the size and many options provided by the GPS, however the fact that there was a sizable monthly fee attached was a surprise and I returned for another brand.
