Would NOT recommend buying this iron set. The irons look great but the quality of the irons is extremely poor. I tried my 5 iron out the day I received the set (6/11/08) and it broke on the second swing. After hitting the ball the club head broke off from the base of the shaft and went flying. Would recommend steel shafts and not graphite shafts. NOT a good buy.

I was previously playing a mixed set of 4+5 hybrid, 6-PW irons. Even after I worked out the bugs to hitting hybrids, I still didn't like them. The control element just isn't there which I prefer. I invested in this set, and I've taken them to the range once to try out each one. The 3 iron was the only one I really had trouble hitting (probably because I'm not used to having one...). Aside from that, I was able to feel the torque of the club when it struck the ball which is a huge factor I was hoping for. The forgiveness was definitely there with the small cavity back design. The feel of the stock rubber grips was slightly tacky, but easy to control. I would say these clubs would be good for beginners who have been playing for a few years and average between 85-100 on 18 holes. I wouldn't recommend these irons for anyone with 110+ swing speed. All in all, a very good set of irons for the intermediate player.
