Galileo A-6816Z Zoom Eyepiece

If the original description said this was refurbished, I missed it. In any case, I've ordered refurbished items before and been happy with them. This item looked well used, the lots of scratches and scuffs, and even a few dings like it's been dropped. To be fair, they are cosmetic, not on the optics, but it was obvious this had been well used. However in addition the extensive cosmetic damage, it's just a poor quality piece in the first place. I got it to go with a scope I got at a garage sale that didn't have an eyepiece. It was nearly unusable. I have since bought a larger scope with eyepieces, and in using all eyepieces in both scopes, my garage sale scope is fine, it's this Galileo eyepiece that is money down the drain.

• How accurate was the sizing? Very loose fit in two different telescopes. Impossible to focus without eyepiece wiggling.
• Please tell us about the quality of the product. I shouldn't expect at lot for the price, but this is a case where even a good deal is no deal if it won't get used
• Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? Rather poorly made
