After looking at many backpacks at the stores and online this one looked great but when I got it I was very disappointed. Looked nothing like the one in the picture. Had less capacity than stated, and the zippers stuck and would not go up without force. The description of the backpack was much different from what I received.
My son went to Philmont with the scouts and the pack lasted two and a half days. He needed to rent a pack from the camp.
Very roomy. Great for weekend travel. Light in weight but very sturdy. Not too expensive, a good choice for scouts.
Backpack came apart many times ( 7 different places) during the first attempt to load it up during my pre-pack. Straps are not attached (anchored) into place. This backpack is made from a "sew and go" approach. They just stitched this thing together, no strength in the seams at ALL! Don't make your friends pack you out!
I have not had a chance to use this backpack yet, but the pack did not come as descibed. It did not have a water bladder compartment or did it come with a rainfly. I hope overstock gets this resolved so someone else does not order the wrong thing.
Loved it - especially the separate compartment for the sleeping bag and the rainflap - used it for a 12 day trekking trip and was thoroughly pleased, it survived donkeys and mud safely - greta buy for little money!
I really liked this pack. I used it backpacking in the Wind River Range in Wyoming for 5 days. It was comfortable and didn't hurt my back at all. The straps are adjustable, fitting pretty much anyone. It had tons of room and lots of cool compartments. I would recommend it if you are a first time backpacker that wants something cheap. The only thing that I did not like about it was that it tore when I tightened the straps...but it was great for the price. I'll use it a couple more times and then get a nicer pack. It's definately not the best out there, but worked great for my first time.
