not what I expected...to much work to operate..light does not last long enough - you got to shake and shake forever.

Not so impressed. You have to shake for ever and then the light isnt that bright. Would do in a power outage tho. Great idea, just needs to be refined.

They are not real bright, they have a blue light, but they are great in an emergency. Nice to have

I've had this for over 2 years now and this flashlight is a dud. Meaning it does not work as a flashlight anymore. If you look carefully inside there is a small "watch" type of battery in it. I assume that when you shake it it charges the battery. It works Ok the first year while the battery is in good condition, but not after 2 years. Now I shake it vigorously for about a minute and it gives me a faint blue light and lasts only a couple of seconds.For campers invest in a good LED flashlight and change the battery every couple of years. In the long run that will be cheaper and more environementlly friendly than this supposedly "forever" flashlight.

This flashlight will do what I bought it for and that is to sit until needed in our camper. The light is blue and not very bright but I wanted something that I did not have to worry about taking out the batteries or having the batteries be dead when I need it. The price was better than many comparibles. It is cheap plastic so be gentle with it!

These look fine, but the light doesn't last anywhere near the advertised time and starts fading quite quickly regardless of how long you've shaken it. In addition, because the cover is clear, a lot of light bleeds out and so it can be very difficult to focus on what's ahead.

The flashlights are easy to use and well made. They have now been camping with us and used on many home projects. We decided to get these because the crank ones broke to easy when one of our children decided to break off the crank part. I won't make the same mistake twice, the children will not be using these. In the instructions the manufacturer specifically tells you not to drop them...and kids drop everything at least once. Over all I am very happy with them and the value. Even if by some mistake someone breaks one, I would purchase them over again.

The flashlight broke on the first day of camp. Very disappointed.
