I have to say I did not take this product out of the box, because I was wrapping it as an anonymous Christmas gift to a kid who had requested a skateboard in his tag on a tree sponsored by a charitable organization in our town. The idea was that underprivileged kids would make their request and hang it on a tree, and those of us with more privilege would take the tag, get the gift and wrap it, and put it under the tree with the kid's name on it. This kid requested a skateboard, and I guess it was a little more pricey than most people wanted to go, so his tag was left hanging. When I saw that, my heart went out to this kid--he wasn't requesting a b-b rifle like the kid in A Christmas Story, but his chances of getting what he wanted were just about as slim. So I decided to go for it--I had just gotten a raise, and if I could find this kid a skateboard within my means, well, I wanted to get it for him. I went to Overstock.com and sure enough, there was this reasonably priced skateboard. I bought it, didn't even open it, and just wrapped it up in the box it came in (taking the mailing label off first, of course). Putting that gift under the tree with that kid's label on it was the most fun and heart-opening thing I did this Christmas. So I do hope it was a cool skateboard--I've never had anything less than high quality stuff come from Overstock--and I'm really grateful for the Christmas joy it brought to me. Thanks, Overstock.
