We just ordered a second set of these mats to complete our home gym floor. They go together easily and provide nice cushioning over a cement basement floor. We are very pleased with the quality so far and the price.

we ordered these to set up a small home gym area in our basement. while they are very easy to put together, they don't really stay together very well when exposed to impact movement like aerobics or floor work. Also, they are not very thick so they do not provide much support on top of a concrete floor. Maybe with indoor/outdoor carpet underneath it would be more suitable.

Excellent for home workout. I use kettlebells at the gym and wanted to add one to my home arsenal. The kettlebell is actually pretty big and I'm only 4'11', but I can handle the bulk. The rubber coating is great for indoor use so you do not screw up your floors (just don't drop it unless you have a thick mat like I do). I love this thing!!!!

Easy to assemble and use. Instructions on its use on DVD is also easy to follow. Only problem is the pulley system is not as smooth as it should be but on the whole the reformer is worth the price. As for the delivery, I had some problems with the delivery of my equipment which was delayed due to some faults of the delivery company over in Victoria which can be avoidable but I got the machine intact so that is good. Other than that unpleasant experience with the delivery, the transaction with overstock is excellent!

Not a bad product, but a little smaller than I expected. (all my fault) Haven't put it to full use yet, but might put some sort of pad under to keep them from sliding around.

For the price, these stands are a good addition to a home gym. With that said, the assembly was difficult, the instructions kept referring the wrong number but used the right name for the part. In addition, the cap on the safety arm blocked the hole from feeding through the horizontal upright on the main frame, so I jammed it down, and popped off a plastic cap. It works ok, if you aren't adjusting it constantly for different heights. If you plan on making adjustments to suit different heights, it might be a real pain. I'm just using it for squats (about 250 max). If I ever break the 250 lb barrier, I'll buy something a little beefier. You have to remember you are paying less than $$$ for these, while it's a deal, don't expect it to perform like commercial equipment (adjustment wise).

We use this weight in our small community gym. The quality of the kettlebell is equivalent to other weights purchased from a national company

A friend said to get one of these and I that I could find an inexpensive version of gym one for the home on Overstock. It was easy to find and I feel the difference after using the machine. It is very easy. It has 3 built in speeds and you just stand on it using 1 of the 3 setting and after about 10 minutes you are finished. It has toned my body and I believe made a difference in how I feel about myself.

This chair is good for someone who hates going out to the gym. You can sit for a minute here and there during the day and get in some good exercises. You can even do it while watching TV; it's not noisy and it's small enough to sit unobtrusively in the corner of the room.

this makes working out so much easier since I can stand in my living room while watching something and get a great workout in 20 minutes. Been doing it for about 6 weeks and i'm losing body fat without restricting my calories. Try to get at it 3-4 times a week. I started with the lightest band and have since moved to the 2nd and 3rd band as my strength and endurance has increased. it's a very good value considering I could have spent far more on a machine or gym membership to get similar results.

This Curl Bar is an essential part of any home gym. It's end size is perfect to use a variety of weights with differing internal hole sizes. The threaded end caps secure the weight nicely and are super easy to use. Can be stored easily in a closet or under a bed. Great value.

Solid, quality construction. Provides an excellent all-over work-out for both my wife and myself. Set your own pace and follow the instructions and with a sensible diet you'll lose pounds and inches and gain strength. Its also very convenient to be able to work out when you want and / or when your schedule allows. No running back and forth to the gym, no gym fees, waiting on equipment, etc. etc. Did a lot of shopping around and Overstock had the best price and this deal gave the most bang for the buck !! Would highly recommend this product.

I recently purchased a pair of these for a home gym setup. The price was right and I wanted something that I could move around easily. The setup was relatively quick, and the stands are nice and sturdy. The plate storage is a nice feature and adds some additional stability. My only complaint are the spring-loaded pins. One of these already came apart for no particular reason. This just prevents me from screwing it into the stand, but the spring still works fine. Additionally, the stands wobble a bit, even with everything tightened down, although the problem seems to go away with weight added to the plate storage.Overall I'm happy with the purchase and with the service from Overstock.

Pilates equipment provides resistance from the participant's own body weight and exercise muscles efficiently. They are important additions to any Pilates studio.

The main difference you'll find between one rowing machine and another is the resistance that simulates oars going through water. Some row machines use a combination of methods. New variations of tried-and-true exercise machines are always being introduced to the market as the technology of exercise equipment improves. Two exercise machines that have gained popularity are elliptical trainers and treadmills. A major advantage to elliptical trainers is that they possess little risk of injury to the knees, hips, back or ankles. Meanwhile, treadmills are home gym machines on which you can run, walk or jog. The treadmill has been in the marketplace for a long time and is a long-standing piece of standard equipment for most exercise enthusiasts. Elliptical Machines: Elliptical machines present a lower risk of injury to the body. This home gym machine allows the individual to stand in an upright position while supporting her upper body by holding onto the handrails. The individual is able to pick out what muscles to train by shifting the strength on the legs or the arms. This provides for a more flexible workout machine. The machine bears its name because it works to copy the foot's elliptical motion as well as the rotation of the hip during walking or running. Advantages of Elliptical Machines: Since elliptical machines work the upper and lower body, they help you reach your target heart rate more optimally, providing a better cardiovascular workout overall. Individuals can burn a larger number of calories in a shorter period of time. Muscles that benefit from this machine include the legs, shoulders, chest, biceps, triceps and the back. Elliptical machines are also relatively easy to operate and are energy efficient because they do not use much electricity. Treadmills: Traditional treadmills were developed to help you walk, run or jog. Treadmills differ in advantages as there are some machines that have programs that can be customized based on your weight and fitness level. You can also manually control the program to increase or decrease the speed, the incline or the duration of the workout. Walking on a traditional treadmill, however, creates more impact on the knees and hips and may be a cause of injury for some users. Advantages of Treadmills: Some treadmill models have a cushioned surface to support the knees and other parts of the body. With these models, there is a lower risk of injury and an increased level of comfort for the user. Moreover, treadmills provide you with the option to run, jog or walk in the comfort of the gym. Also, you can burn calories by increasing the heart rate, providing a good cardiovascular workout. Buy Home Gym Machines Back to Guides Directory Buy Home Gym Machines

With weight lifting, walking and jogging, gym shoes must withstand a lot of wear and can become dirty quickly. Proper cleaning will not only make women's athletic shoes and men's athletic shoes look their best but may also make them last longer. If you wear your gym shoes mainly for workouts indoors, a good cleaning once every two weeks should be sufficient. If, on the other hand, you wear athletic shoes outdoors, you may need to clean them once a week or more frequently to remove soil and grass stains. Cleaning athletic shoes, however, does not require much time or equipment.

Rowing machine benefits include increased muscle strength, elongated muscles toning and weight loss. There are different styles of rowers appropriate for different activity levels. When buying a rowing machine, you'll want to consider resistance method, size and price.
