This bench is a absolutely great, very stable, both my husband and I use it with no issues. My favorite feature is to be able to use it for my sides.

Incredibly sturdy; very well built; worth every penny! Can do dips, pull ups, chin ups, push ups, knee raises and all sort of combinations; doesn't take much space compared to other equipment, has pads on handles to go easy on hands; does not damage floors. Easy to build. My husband, nephew and I use it all the time! :) Thank you overstock!

I'm a 70-year-old gal with COPD and arthritis. Exercise is really important because of the COPD, yet, I hate walking, and I knew going to the gym wasn't going to happen either, especially when the temperatures drop below zero. So I bought home exercise equipment in a dollar amount equal to a year's membership in our little town's fitness gym, and the resistance chair is a part of that purchase. Dollar for dollar, it is the best deal I have found anywhere for home equipment. It is extremely well made and designed. I got it for $56.00 less on Overstock than what is available on other sites, and that savings went toward the purchase of an additional piece of equipment. I have used the chair daily for 8 weeks, and my stamina has definitely improved, along with noticeable strengthening in the upper body and arms. I had a breathing test at the clinic yesterday, and my oxygen retention has improved since the last reading in early February, before I had the resistance chair. Can't say enough good about it.

The equipment is not bad for the price. if you are looking for a cheap piece of exercise equipment to add to your home-gym, then this is probably worth it. I was missing lots of hardware (nuts & bolts); however. Ended up spending another $10 at Home Depot to get the right parts to assemble everything... the inconvenience was annoying.

I purchased this item a month ago to replace a cheaper model. The quality is great, the unit is well built and feels solid to work out on. The rebounder adds an extra workout that is fun and challenging. I love that there are two strap choices, and an adjustable foot bar. Overall, a great piece of equipment at a price that is much more affordable than the gym equipment.

The Stamina 1700 Power Tower is very sturdy and well-made. It took some time to put it together, but it was well worth it. The only thing I wish it had is a close-hand grip for pull-ups.

Ordered this machine from Overstock at the best price. Easily put together in 20 minutes. I must say this is a quality machine, very sturdy and a very good value. Certainly is much better than getting up and going to the gym!!! In the time it would have taken to go to the gym I have my workout done, such a time saver. I'm very impressed with this machine and wish I had bought one years ago. I've just ordered the ballet barre for this machine, can't wait to get it, as it will be a perfect addition for stretching, and other exercises. My thirty years of getting up early and fighting traffic to go to the gym are finally over!!!

My husband, soon to be 92, has become extremely frail -- not surprising, of course. And most exercise equipment requires either walking or getting up and down, or just some strength measure he simply no longer is able to achieve. With this chair and the changes you can make to it as strength improves, he is able to do a great deal to improve his cardiovascular abilities and stamina. It has been and will continue to be very useful indeed.

I wanted a device that I could not only do ab work with...but also work on my lower back and sides. The Stamina Ab/Hyper Bench Pro totally fits the bill for me. I do think that someone is who is taller - 6'+ - might want to be careful purchasing it. I'm 5'7"...and while I can see someone taller than me still being able to work out with ease on it - I think the 6' range might start pushing its capabilities. Other than than - if you're looking for a great apparatus to get an excellent ab/back/sides workout - I recommend this piece of equipment highly!

I am very glad that I bought this machine. It has been great. I use it about three times a week and feel rejuvenated every time. The international shipping was no problem. I could track it all the way, and it got here within the ten days they said it would. Sometimes it squeaks a bit - other reviews have said this, but the Stamina website says to use a bit of silicone machine lubricant. I plan to get some, so far it hasn't been enough of a problem. I did buy the extra cords and pillow. I haven't had to use the extra cords yet, as two or three are fine for me so far.

We bought the Stamina 1700 Power Tower to use with the P90X fitness program. We wanted a pull-up bar that did not have to attach to our walls, ceilings, or on our door frames in our new home. Overstock.com had the best price because of the 2.95 shipping ... other sites wanted 30 just for shipping. The 1700 has a heavy duty frame and was pretty simple to put together. The only problem we have had with it is that when doing pull-ups, we have to be careful as the machine rocks and wobbles on the floor, we are not sure if it is because it is set on the concrete garage floor that has a slight slope in it. We have found by doing pull-ups facing the opposite way then the machine is more stable. Overall it serves the purpose that we need it for.

My mom had just been released from a lengthy stay at hospitals and a 2 month stay in- house rehab therapy facility. We brought her home using a wheelchair. She could walk with assistance but probably no more than 20 feet or so...We needed something to increase her strength and stamina and we thought this chair would be the answer. In less than two weeks mom is now walking to the kitchen and bathroom on a daily basis. Still needs a little attention but have not had to use the wheel chair in home for at least a week. She now is getting dressed herself with just a little help. We are hoping and praying within a couple of months using this chair we will build her strength, both upper and lower body, so she can resume her life better than it ever was. Overstock was the cheapest place we could find the chair and the freight pricing was great. The time it took to get here was I think 3 days maybe 4...but still very prompt. The chair was just like new...Thank You Overstock.com, Will use Overstock again as needed.

Really happy with the purchase, especially when you look online for extra coupon codes. For push-ups, simply place them parallel, shoulder width apart, and voila~ wonderful push-up bars that won't move around! They also make wonderful ankle-locks (if that is the right term to use) for sit-ups when you wedge both feet in between one dumbbell and its holder. The 25-lb ones are not heavy enough for this. Have been using these with my boyfriend for biceps curls, triceps extensions, kickbacks, squats, and lunges with wonderful results. We do a set in the morning, after coming home, and before sleeping. All without having to pick workout outfits and drive to find parking. Great time and gas saver, and no need for membership fees, too! When we first started using these, it was hard to place dumbbells in and out quickily, but that is okay now with practice. However, after 2 months of constant usage, we still cannot figure out which way to turn increases weight and which decreases; the numbers are not easily visible in dim lighting conditions. The turning motion feels pretty unnatural for my small hands. The grips are also a little big for my hands, so I need a pair of bike/exercise gloves for better grip and to prevent calluses. Overall, a great all-in-one gym workout for very little space and a great long-term money saver. Haven't used other adjustable dumbbells, but these get the job done well for us.
