The Body Solid GCAB360 Plate Loaded Ab and Back Machine is a high quality piece of equipment. You can tell that just by lifting and feeling it. It works on my back like no other piece of equipment available to the home owner. I used to belong to a gym and they had a higher end piece of equipment that basically does the same thing. I just eliminated $92 a month in belonging. You can't beat the price here either.

Instructions are confusing but you can figure it out. It is very well constructed and SOLID when you get it together. It serves its purpose well. The price is right for this little machine.

I bought this with the Valor smith machine. It was delivered rapidly, was easy to assemble and is sturdy as can be. The only regret I have is that I learned later that Valor also makes a model that can be a flat, incline or decline bench as well as being used for sit ups (I think that one is DD-4). I probably would have gotten that instead since I have limited space in my basement and could have used it for more functions. That said, this bench (DD-3) is really solid and I'd suggest it to anyone that needs a flat/incline bench.

I just got this rack yesterday and put it together with my two young sons in about an hour. My first impressions were that it was a well built, solid, good looking rack. The welds are good and look like they will hold even after years of use. I am 6'2" and the bar positions are nicely spaced with no problems to find a comfortable position for all exercises. My only complaints are: the paint was chipped in several spots on arrival but they do include a small bottle of paint to touch up. Also, the assembly instructions are useless. They consist of a small picture, with hard to read numbers and NO written instructions. If you have any mechanical skill at all, this will not be a problem but keep in mind that there are 2 different bolt sizes that must be placed in the right holes or the rack will not go together correctly. There is only about a 1/4" difference between the bolts so make sure you save the longer bolts for areas where brackets will be placed on both sides of the tubing.

Easy to assemble and structurally sound. The product was as specified and is versatile as it needs to be. It should last a lifetime.

This is a very nice machine. very smooth considering it uses bushings. I own a couple other Body Solid pieces of equipment for my home gym and they are solid & well built. Add the lifetime warranty and they are one of the best. Only negative I have to say is it does not come with the sleeves for olympic weights (a little decieving because every picture shows them with them on it). Wish they would throw those in the box (Most people use olympic weights these days!)

Overall the product is good for the money, but really disappointed with minor but important quality & design defect with hip pads. Assembly was straighforward and quick. When inserting 1 of the 4 bolts which secures the 2 pads to frame, the anchor came loose inside the pad/board unit. I was careful to not cross thread, I had hand-tightened and was applying light pressure with wrench when it came loose. So, I only have 1 bolt snug to hold the pad. Fortunately it seems to be working OK, but I'm nervous about durability. The other hip pad is secured properly, but some sort of defect in design or with materials because one of the bolts pokes my hip during use. I can drape another hi density foam pad over both to make unit acceptable. Also, one of the hip pads out of the box had a small tear mid-fabric on side, apparently from jostling in carton - it wasn't packed very well from manufacturer.

Before seeing this product, I thought that freeweight squats were the one exercise that one needs to go to the gym for. But these squat stands, due to their being two units, are a very compact alternative to a full squat cage. The product is a lot more stable than it looks - the center of gravity is low due to heavier materials being used in the bottom than in the top, and due to foreshortening in the product image, if you actually look at the stands from the top, you'll see that it has a large, stable footprint. I found these to be very stable even if placed on plush carpet. You can also adjust the middle pins so that they'll spot you. They look small for the job in the picture, but in a controlled failure, I can easily just allow those pins to take the weight. Sometimes I'll even do that deliberately in order to prepare for another exercise, for example, deadlifts, shrugs, upright rows, or even biceps curls. I place the bar there to add or change weights. I think it's even possible to put an empty bar on the top and do chinups, although this would be a bit awkward, and is obviously not what it's made for. But that's just one of the many possible uses that shows the flexibility of this product. It also has a bit of redundancy you can't easy see in the picture that makes it feel even safer. There's a steel pin that backs up the main pin. The main pin can be turned to screw into place. At the top, there's a pin you can hook over the bar to hold it in place (although I can't think of anything that could accidentally bump a 45 lb olympic bar off the stand).

I am really impressed by the quality of this machine. Very comfortable. I felt the stretching in my lower back and hip area. Just what I needed. My back is so tight and compressed from lifting heavy equipment and mechanical work.

I had an excellent purchasing experience with overstock.com, as usual. This piece of equipment is very well made, very sturdy, and very effective, in terms of what it does for your back. Have no fear purchasing this. HOWEVER - I discovered this little gem: you get what you pay for with these things, and this one has less bells and whistles. Specifically, some models have a lock-catch thing that allows you to rotate back 45 degrees or whatever and lock yourself into place. This one has a belt that you have to adjust. This is important because if the belt is not set correctly, you will go inverted, and you will naturally grasp the sides to steady yourself, which takes away from the efficacy of the machine. Word to the wise. If you are the only one using this and you don;t ever change the degree setting, this is not really a problem. But heads up.

Commercial Gym quality bench. Stable and definately a great addition to a Home Gym.

This machine tends to isolate on the upper lats and traps more than the middle to lower back. If that's what you want to isolate, great. If you want a complete back workout, you will need to supplement with seated rows.

I purchased this item a month ago to replace a cheaper model. The quality is great, the unit is well built and feels solid to work out on. The rebounder adds an extra workout that is fun and challenging. I love that there are two strap choices, and an adjustable foot bar. Overall, a great piece of equipment at a price that is much more affordable than the gym equipment.

This bench is exactly what I was looking for as I live in an apartment. It is compact and folds nicely for storage. I am 5'5" and 120 lbs. and this works for me. I wouldn't recommend it for a much larger person as the bench is not wide or long for a taller person. The bench comes intact with option to secure temporarily for folding or bolt securely. I have used often and have had no issues.

All around, excellent quality, easy to assemble, looks great in the workout room. One drawback, I'm 6'5" and it's just a bit too short for laying down and doing tricep curls. Wish it was six inches longer...other than that, very happy with this product.

I bought these squat stands to use in my basement where I have limited space. I'm using them primarily for bench press, although I have also used them for squats and for standing overhead presses. I'm using a a flat bench and a standard barbell. The stands are very solid and don't move when I'm racking and un-racking the bar. I like the flexibility of being able to move the stands to suit my needs. I ended up setting them very close to the bench, so I can get a wide grip on the bar. If I was using an olympic bar I would set the stands wide and grip the bar on the inside. Putting the stands together was simple and took around 30 minutes. You will want to use a socket wrench instead of the included tool which wasn't easy to work with.

With only a few minutes a day the machine helps relieve my back pain. The machine is well constructed, and has a solid feel when in use. I have not put the machine away yet, but the set up was so simple that I do not anticipate any difficulty.

This unit is about the least expensive of the vibrating plate machines. It's small and quiet, but heavy and seems likely to last as long as any of them. I've only had it a week or two, but so far, the highest setting seems effective. This does not have the same motion as the units ten times as expensive and you shouldn't expect that. But if you're looking for a machine with less investment to find out if vibrating plate machines are right for you, this is a good first step! I am not a "living room exerciser" but my local gym that I've used for 5 years, does not have one. I did not want to spend a couple thousand only to find out I don't like to exercise at home. The motion is far from smooth as the $XXXX dollar (and up) units, and the speeds aren't as variable. But the remote works, the base is solid and it doesn't disturb my neighbors. I like it!

This was the best deal we could find on an extension bench that is really solid. It went together easily in under an hour though you need to pay attention to the pictures since the text is rather minimal. It feels very secure when using it. Others have mentioned that you might want to add non-slip material to the foot rests, but we find that the ankle pads make this unnecessary. All in all, it's a great addition to our workout space.

They say the kitchen is the heart of a home, but in many homes, it's also the biggest source of energy waste. Kitchen lighting, refrigeration and cooking consume about 41.5 percent of the total home energy use; add space heating, cooling, and water heating to that total, and you'll see your kitchen is quite the energy hog. Creating an eco-friendly kitchen includes your choice of appliances, but it also goes beyond that; the floors, paint, pots and pans, and other kitchen items you use can make your kitchen eco-friendly as well.
