For the price, these stands are a good addition to a home gym. With that said, the assembly was difficult, the instructions kept referring the wrong number but used the right name for the part. In addition, the cap on the safety arm blocked the hole from feeding through the horizontal upright on the main frame, so I jammed it down, and popped off a plastic cap. It works ok, if you aren't adjusting it constantly for different heights. If you plan on making adjustments to suit different heights, it might be a real pain. I'm just using it for squats (about 250 max). If I ever break the 250 lb barrier, I'll buy something a little beefier. You have to remember you are paying less than $$$ for these, while it's a deal, don't expect it to perform like commercial equipment (adjustment wise).

We took a couple of our grandchildren to a trampoline center and had a glorious afternoon! I loved it and I am 70. The rubber in this individual trampoline is stiffer and jars me when I jump. It does not compare with the supple rubber of the gym we went to. I don't use it much but the grandchildren log thousands of jumps on this. The handle is a little unstable. It wobbles and is hard to secure at the top where two pieces join.

Received the roll 1 day earlier than estimated - Good. After unrolling, placement and evaluating it, decided that I needed a 2nd roll. But when I went to the site, the solid black color was unavailable, at any lengths. Turns out that once an item is out of stock, it's unknown when it would be restocked - Bad. So, I'm stuck with an incomplete flooring job that will have to wait. Which is why I went across the board with average ratings. I did not want to out-right order both rolls right out of the gate, not knowing if it was going to work for me, but I also can't fault the product either. This flooring does not give, so it should stand up to exercise equipment nicely, but might be hard on ankles and knees if one was thinking of doing aerobics or jump training. For what I wanted to do, exercise area in the basement (concrete floor) for a bike trainer, solo flex and weight/band stands, it should work out fine. If I ever get it finish and in use, I'll see if I can add to this review.

Perfect for my at home gym. A little costly for weights but quality is the best.

The CB-12 doesn't take up a lot of space. To this end, it is great for a home gym, especially if you don't have a lot of floor space (like me). There are three pulley stations (high, medium, and low). I tend to use both the high and low for triceps extensions and curls/upright rows at the same time so I can quickly super set my workouts. At 6'3", I'm almost too tall to use this machine for the lat pull-downs. I still get a decent range of motion, and my height is not the machine's fault. Machine is well built and didn't take too long to assemble (even at a casual rate). Be sure to build this where you want to use it. I know this only makes sense, but the height of the machine will barely pass under door frames. Don't say you haven't been warned. Still, it is easy to remove the top bar and move it if need be. If you have a second set of hands, tilt it to move it. So far, I'm very happy with this purchase. I'm going to try using some plastic safe lubricant on the bushings, guide rail, and pulleys to see if I can lower the noise. It isn't bad to begin with, but I'm used to full commercial grade equipment at my gym. So I'm just being nit-picky. I don't think you can go wrong with this purchase. I've only owned the CB-12 for three months, so I don't know about long term durability, but I don't see that as a problem. Add some accessories such as a rope, single handle, and ankle cuff and this thing becomes a Swiss Army knife of a home gym.

Easy to assemble and use. Instructions on its use on DVD is also easy to follow. Only problem is the pulley system is not as smooth as it should be but on the whole the reformer is worth the price. As for the delivery, I had some problems with the delivery of my equipment which was delayed due to some faults of the delivery company over in Victoria which can be avoidable but I got the machine intact so that is good. Other than that unpleasant experience with the delivery, the transaction with overstock is excellent!

we ordered these to set up a small home gym area in our basement. while they are very easy to put together, they don't really stay together very well when exposed to impact movement like aerobics or floor work. Also, they are not very thick so they do not provide much support on top of a concrete floor. Maybe with indoor/outdoor carpet underneath it would be more suitable.

I ordered my first set of gym floor mats to place a bowflex machine on top. I really enjoy the mats so i ordered another set to cover the entire room and have since added a bench and dumbbells and a place to do p90x. They are really easy to put together and really change up the room to give you a better feel when working out. I definitely recommend these mats.

I was expecting these mats to be durable and functional- they are neither. The mats are made of light foam, even a preschool has thicker and denser play mats. I intended to use these mats for working out, plyometrics, weightlifting, etc. However, not only do the mats easily slide and slip around, but they are prone to tearing. Also, each mat piece is 1 square foot, and even when they are pieced together, it is not hard for them to get out of place, posing as a significant trip hazard, especially if you are working with dumbells. Not to mention that there were not enough border pieces included so I had even, smooth sides. Nope. These mats are not gym-quality. I highly discourage purchasing these mats as they are extremely low quality, prone to get damaged easily, and possess an extreme level of risk because they are not well-constructed.

This ball can withstand a few heavy workouts. It gets slippery though, so that's something to watch out for, which is why I say the quality is good (as compared to Muscle Driver). However, the price for this product can't be beat and this is an excellent addition to have in a home gym.

I bought this sit up bench to work on my abs. Shipping was fast. It came in one box and was easy to assemble. Assembly took about 15 minutes. It even comes with touch up paint in case there are any blemishes due to shipping. The bench is easy to use, and rock solid. The feet are covered with rubber, and the entire piece is of high quality. Doing sit ups with this concentrates on the lower abs, and one can augment the workup by hold weights while doing the sit up. I foresee Abercrombie and Fitch six packs in the near future.

Product is excellent in all regards but one. Not enough edge pieces are supplied to completely trim the full 48 square feet of matting. I only received 8 pieces of edging-enough to finish trim one end and parts of two sides of the completed mat.

I've had the station for a bout 2 weeks now. I really enjoy the convenience of NOT having to run to the gym. It fits in the corner of the room; very small "footprint". Very stable. One drawback: No rubber gripping on the bars. The simple fix would be workout gloves. Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase and do recommend this station to anyone who is wanting to purchase equipment for a home gym.

Looks great. It's solid, light, easy to move and comparable to the ones in local gyms. It took an hour to put together, so don't worry about all the pieces in the box. It's easy. I would say that it is a good buy mainly because it is solid and you can fold it and put it away in an instant. I would certainly recommend it to friends.

I have been using these for high impact plyometric workouts on my concrete basement floor. They have made a huge difference to my feet and knees, and cover a very nice amount of space. Also great for floor exercises. They do slide around a little, but I found that if you can build out from a corner it helps greatly.

New variations of tried-and-true exercise machines are always being introduced to the market as the technology of exercise equipment improves. Two exercise machines that have gained popularity are elliptical trainers and treadmills. A major advantage to elliptical trainers is that they possess little risk of injury to the knees, hips, back or ankles. Meanwhile, treadmills are home gym machines on which you can run, walk or jog. The treadmill has been in the marketplace for a long time and is a long-standing piece of standard equipment for most exercise enthusiasts. Elliptical Machines: Elliptical machines present a lower risk of injury to the body. This home gym machine allows the individual to stand in an upright position while supporting her upper body by holding onto the handrails. The individual is able to pick out what muscles to train by shifting the strength on the legs or the arms. This provides for a more flexible workout machine. The machine bears its name because it works to copy the foot's elliptical motion as well as the rotation of the hip during walking or running. Advantages of Elliptical Machines: Since elliptical machines work the upper and lower body, they help you reach your target heart rate more optimally, providing a better cardiovascular workout overall. Individuals can burn a larger number of calories in a shorter period of time. Muscles that benefit from this machine include the legs, shoulders, chest, biceps, triceps and the back. Elliptical machines are also relatively easy to operate and are energy efficient because they do not use much electricity. Treadmills: Traditional treadmills were developed to help you walk, run or jog. Treadmills differ in advantages as there are some machines that have programs that can be customized based on your weight and fitness level. You can also manually control the program to increase or decrease the speed, the incline or the duration of the workout. Walking on a traditional treadmill, however, creates more impact on the knees and hips and may be a cause of injury for some users. Advantages of Treadmills: Some treadmill models have a cushioned surface to support the knees and other parts of the body. With these models, there is a lower risk of injury and an increased level of comfort for the user. Moreover, treadmills provide you with the option to run, jog or walk in the comfort of the gym. Also, you can burn calories by increasing the heart rate, providing a good cardiovascular workout. Buy Home Gym Machines Back to Guides Directory Buy Home Gym Machines

Here is some basic information to help you wade through all those bells and whistles, so you'll know what kind of treadmill will work best in your home gym. With weight lifting, walking and jogging, gym shoes must withstand a lot of wear and can become dirty quickly. Proper cleaning will not only make women's athletic shoes and men's athletic shoes look their best but may also make them last longer. If you wear your gym shoes mainly for workouts indoors, a good cleaning once every two weeks should be sufficient. If, on the other hand, you wear athletic shoes outdoors, you may need to clean them once a week or more frequently to remove soil and grass stains. Cleaning athletic shoes, however, does not require much time or equipment.
