I needed something that would help me to begin a workout out without all the stress most equipment and gyms apply to the body. Due to recent health changes, I was not ready for the outside gym routine even though, prior, I was physically active, visited the gym and loved the intense workouts. With developing spinal issues I found myself melting over not having the physical activity that once was possible and had to find a way to "take charge" of my health and a routine without becoming frustrated. I searched high-and-low for the proper at-home equipment hoping I would not make a mistake. After reviews and watching how the equipment operates, I took a chance on this system. Thus far, I am NOT disappointed! I put together my own routine to strengthen my core and added other areas to the routine. The equipment has adjustable tension control and I take the liberty to alter it according to the area I am working on. The sliding of the bed really helps minimize pressure and strain. I can easily lie down with the supportive pillows, and stand/kneel on the equipment with ease of a more versatile workout. The bar and spring board is a great plus! This bed seems to be much longer than others, and for me and those taller, it works great! I would highly recommend this unit to those wanting to "take charge" of their workout routine and have the opportunity to go from a personalized basic to more advanced workout at their own discretion. It is a great way for those not-ready to be at a gym or those who chose not, to start moving the body and muscles in ways they do not in daily life. The equipment arrived with need of assembly that took near an hour. It is in 2 sections- the sliding bed portion that sits on the longer frame. The frame can be removed to have the sliding bed portion on the ground.

This is exactly what i was looking for. The same quality that i have seen in children's gym programs. The kids love it and are having fun practicing on it! I compared the price to others and this was the best value.

Looks great. It's solid, light, easy to move and comparable to the ones in local gyms. It took an hour to put together, so don't worry about all the pieces in the box. It's easy. I would say that it is a good buy mainly because it is solid and you can fold it and put it away in an instant. I would certainly recommend it to friends.

I was very wary of what I was going to be receiving, my husband was even more sceptical, but upon its arrival and assembly, both have been pleasantly surprised at its quality. It allows me to exercise while watching tv in the evening, I am absolutely loving it. And the price/savings were brilliant. :) Delivery was super fast. A very happy customer.

This Curl Bar is an essential part of any home gym. It's end size is perfect to use a variety of weights with differing internal hole sizes. The threaded end caps secure the weight nicely and are super easy to use. Can be stored easily in a closet or under a bed. Great value.

If you're looking for a home gym, and you're a senior citizen like me, this is a great piece of equipment to start with because it's very inexpensive. It comes with a big glossy chart showing the major exercises. The chair came completely assembled -- very minor setup was involved, and I did it myself -- I'm 5 feet tall and wear a leg brace, by the way -- and I had no trouble at all.

just wish it came with more "finishing" strips - not enough for the whole 8' x 6' flooring when laid out... otherwise great!

The CB-12 doesn't take up a lot of space. To this end, it is great for a home gym, especially if you don't have a lot of floor space (like me). There are three pulley stations (high, medium, and low). I tend to use both the high and low for triceps extensions and curls/upright rows at the same time so I can quickly super set my workouts. At 6'3", I'm almost too tall to use this machine for the lat pull-downs. I still get a decent range of motion, and my height is not the machine's fault. Machine is well built and didn't take too long to assemble (even at a casual rate). Be sure to build this where you want to use it. I know this only makes sense, but the height of the machine will barely pass under door frames. Don't say you haven't been warned. Still, it is easy to remove the top bar and move it if need be. If you have a second set of hands, tilt it to move it. So far, I'm very happy with this purchase. I'm going to try using some plastic safe lubricant on the bushings, guide rail, and pulleys to see if I can lower the noise. It isn't bad to begin with, but I'm used to full commercial grade equipment at my gym. So I'm just being nit-picky. I don't think you can go wrong with this purchase. I've only owned the CB-12 for three months, so I don't know about long term durability, but I don't see that as a problem. Add some accessories such as a rope, single handle, and ankle cuff and this thing becomes a Swiss Army knife of a home gym.

Not a bad product, but a little smaller than I expected. (all my fault) Haven't put it to full use yet, but might put some sort of pad under to keep them from sliding around.

We just ordered a second set of these mats to complete our home gym floor. They go together easily and provide nice cushioning over a cement basement floor. We are very pleased with the quality so far and the price.

I recently purchased this item for my mini-sized stair stepper and elliptical machine. I can confidently state it works well for the 60lbs of equipment and 160lbs of myself, unsure how it will perform under extremely heavy, bulky equipment. Overall, I am happy with the purchase for my needs.

Loved the idea of this machine after watching the infomercial on TV. I normally do daily workouts at home anyway so commitment is not a problem. Then did lots of my own research stumbled across this product on Overstock for far less than this product is offered in Australia, in fact this model is better than what the manufacturer is selling in Australia and I paid about so much less (after shipping to my door)! Very happy with Overstock, product arrived very quickly and was able to track product once shipped. Product itself is fantastic pretty easy to put together, Ive discovered muscles I didn't know I had!

This is the second time I've purchased these mats for my garage. I keep adding to them. I have a studio in part of my garage, and I put the mats down and a carpet on top of them. Not only do they insulate but they help relieve the fatigue from standing all day. I gave a four star rating instead of five because the borders are useless. They don't lay flat and some of them don't fit the mats at all. The manufacturer could leave the edges out and put in a couple more mats, which would be more helpful, I just threw the edges away.

The construction on this is great. Saw this model at a hotel gym and decided that I wanted something not flimsy that they sell in the retail stores. This was by far better than what I saw at the sporting good stores. It is solid and has good foam and the steel is at a better grade. The wood board is solid.

I am pleased with these gym mats, they are springy when you are walking on them and we are using them over a concrete floor for our workout room. We will be ordering one more package to complete the room. We installed them prior to the baseboards, so the lack of finished edges isn't a problem for us.

New variations of tried-and-true exercise machines are always being introduced to the market as the technology of exercise equipment improves. Two exercise machines that have gained popularity are elliptical trainers and treadmills. A major advantage to elliptical trainers is that they possess little risk of injury to the knees, hips, back or ankles. Meanwhile, treadmills are home gym machines on which you can run, walk or jog. The treadmill has been in the marketplace for a long time and is a long-standing piece of standard equipment for most exercise enthusiasts. Elliptical Machines: Elliptical machines present a lower risk of injury to the body. This home gym machine allows the individual to stand in an upright position while supporting her upper body by holding onto the handrails. The individual is able to pick out what muscles to train by shifting the strength on the legs or the arms. This provides for a more flexible workout machine. The machine bears its name because it works to copy the foot's elliptical motion as well as the rotation of the hip during walking or running. Advantages of Elliptical Machines: Since elliptical machines work the upper and lower body, they help you reach your target heart rate more optimally, providing a better cardiovascular workout overall. Individuals can burn a larger number of calories in a shorter period of time. Muscles that benefit from this machine include the legs, shoulders, chest, biceps, triceps and the back. Elliptical machines are also relatively easy to operate and are energy efficient because they do not use much electricity. Treadmills: Traditional treadmills were developed to help you walk, run or jog. Treadmills differ in advantages as there are some machines that have programs that can be customized based on your weight and fitness level. You can also manually control the program to increase or decrease the speed, the incline or the duration of the workout. Walking on a traditional treadmill, however, creates more impact on the knees and hips and may be a cause of injury for some users. Advantages of Treadmills: Some treadmill models have a cushioned surface to support the knees and other parts of the body. With these models, there is a lower risk of injury and an increased level of comfort for the user. Moreover, treadmills provide you with the option to run, jog or walk in the comfort of the gym. Also, you can burn calories by increasing the heart rate, providing a good cardiovascular workout. Buy Home Gym Machines Back to Guides Directory Buy Home Gym Machines

With weight lifting, walking and jogging, gym shoes must withstand a lot of wear and can become dirty quickly. Proper cleaning will not only make women's athletic shoes and men's athletic shoes look their best but may also make them last longer. If you wear your gym shoes mainly for workouts indoors, a good cleaning once every two weeks should be sufficient. If, on the other hand, you wear athletic shoes outdoors, you may need to clean them once a week or more frequently to remove soil and grass stains. Cleaning athletic shoes, however, does not require much time or equipment.

With regular use, a rowing machine, also called a rower, can provide a number of great health benefits. Rowing machine benefits include increased muscle strength, elongated muscles toning and weight loss. There are different styles of rowers appropriate for different activity levels. When buying a rowing machine, you'll want to consider resistance method, size and price.
