I BOUGHT THIS BECAUSE I SAW IT ON TV AND THE DEMO LOOKED LIKE IT WOULD FIT MY CIRCUMSTANCE. I HAVE RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS AND EVEN THOUGH I DO TEACH WATER AEROBICS AT A SPA I DO NOT MOTIVATE MYSELF TO USE THE EQUIPMENT THERE?? I LIKE HAVING THIS RESISTANCE CHAIR IN MY OWN HOME TO DO WHEN I CAN WORK IT IN. THE EXERCISE RESISTANCE BANDS ON THE CHAIR MAKE IT THE PERFECT CHALLENGE FOR ANYONE...IT CAME IWTH A PROGRAM ON DVD AND I FOLLOW THAT BUT, HAVE STARTED INCREASING WHAT I DO...I AM GLAD THAT I PURCHASED THIS AS IT HAS HELPED ME TO MEET MY EXERCISE GOALS FOR MYSELF...AND THAT HELPS ME KEEP MOVING:-) BUY THIS--YOU WILL LOVE IT--FOLDS AND ROLLS TO STORE IN TWO SECONDS:-)

Don't hesitate to get the refurbished Resistance Chair and save money - it is just a heavy duty chair and the exercise bands so very little to go wrong in a refurbished unit. I mostly telecommute so it is great for exercising while on a conference call. I am also getting the Cando Chair Cycle Long Leg Brace Accessory Item #: 12407705 to see if I can use my resistance cycle with this chair. I am also buying the seat cushion since the seat is hard plastic. Even if you have exercise equipment, having the Resistance Chair in your home office, or where you watch TV, makes doing a few reps at various times very easy. Like a cat scratching post, the cats will scratch when they walk by.

I had one of these in my 40's and found it very good for inner thighs. I thought that now that I am 65 I would not be able to use one successfully, reading all the negative reviews on how stiff it was. It is almost too easy for me to use. If I make sure I do lots of reps it gives me a good workout. I work out at the gym 4 days a week so I am used to pretty tough machines and this doesn't compare but it's good for those days when the weather keeps me at home using my weights and bands. I would recommend it for people to don't want to or can't work out very strenuously.

Promptly shipped and convenient to unpack and use. Single set of bands with the chair doesn't permit adaptation to different physical conditions in household. Will send for other bands to get more demanding workout.

I purchased a refurbished item and the seat IS NOT level. As you set on it the right side is lower than the left side. So you are always tilted to the right. But It meets my needs and not worth the cost to return. One easy fix would be the resistance bands. When purchasing you should be given the choice of which bands to receive.

I have never been so pleasantly surprised with any product. The chair arrived much sooner than expected, is a very solid piece of exercise equipment and the price was the best on the market. It is truly an excellent buy for my purpose. The best thing about the order was that in most Systems, you receive only the number 5 resistance band; with this order I received all the bands including the number 9. You might also want to know that eventhough I had used a bowflex in the past, these bands are much more substantial than I expected. In fact, my wife could not even use the higher numbers as the resistance is so great. Thanks again.

This chair is really great. It is compact and easy to use. I have not changed the bands yet but it looks easy. The delivery was prompt and assembly was a breeze. I highly recommend this piece of equipment and found the best price at Overstock.

I've had a stroke and find the resistance chair extremely helpful in physical rehabilitation at home. The chair is easy to use and has different tension bands. I also purchased the shoulder stretcher and find it very effective for my frozen shoulder. I highly recommend this product.

Great price I dont know nor can find what was refurbished on this chair, Everything looks new and unused. Comes with all cords/bands, I believe the new ones only come with the set of cords/bands that are installed and no more. Excelent for people with COPD. (I also purchased the magnetic drive pedal section for the chair at retail price *ouch*) This piece of equipment is keeping me moving on the confort of my living room. You will not go wrong

I purchased this exercise chair to help with shoulder pain. I chose it because of the resistance bands. I figured I would be less likely to injure myself than with free weights. I have used the chair almost daily and my shoulder pain is gone. The chair is very well made. I would have given 5 stars if the set included a few bands with higher resistance. They can be purchased separately, as can the over head attachment I purchased.

Just like the 70's rock band, this Tower of Power is great. The reviews I read before purchase suggested I would be frustrated with lack of hardware. To the contrary, I had everything I needed and it assembled easily with no need for assistance. The unit is very stable and can be used for all that it is advertised for. A great deal for the price.

I purchased this for my mom who is 84. With all the bad winter weather, we were unable to take our regular daily walk. She's had a triple by-pass and needs to exercise. Every day, she sits on the chair and does her stretch exercises, the bands work her upper body just fine. She then moves the portable step to the rear of the chair and does her 'stepping' exercises. The neat part of this chair is the back support you clip onto the chair. This holds your spine straight and it actually relieves any tension. It aligns your spine. With the extra bands provided, a person can graduate from one level to another. I'd recommend this for anyone (I've used it also). It's easy to set up/put away. It has two wheels on the rear legs of the chair so there is no carrying it.

I have been looking for something like this for years. Do not know why it has taken me so long to find it! This Resistance Chair Exercise System is perfect for someone like me - RETIRED. Haven't exercised in 5-6 years. Totally out of shape. Obese. Barely able to walk any distance. I am so embarrassed at myself. When I was younger I swore I would NEVER get like this. This chair is sturdy. It is more than capable of holding my weight (290). It has all the right features to do all the right exercises for a person like me. 3 different strength band sets to improve one's exercise capabilities. So far it is the best investment I have made for a piece of equipment.

I have been using a lower model AeroPilates machine for past 10 years and it was finally showing some wear so I finally took the plunge and got my dream machine! I hesitated for the past year due to the price but I am so happy I got this machine. This machine is the "Cadillac" of pilates machines. It is a very sturdy machine and I absolutely love it! I am tall and wanted a longer machine and while this one is longer, I was still hitting the end of the machine with certain exercises so my husband moved the stops on the end and now it is perfect! Don't settle for a less sturdy machine with such an important part of your health. If a cheaper one lasted 10 years I should have this one a lifetime! I read a review about a worry about bands becoming weak but I can tell you that the bands last many years without a hint of weakness

I bought this chair because I had developed knee problems and was told to stay off my feet as much as possible. Having this chair has allowed me to keep exercising and keep fit. It is very sturdy and of high quality. The extra resistace bands allow for more vigorous workouts as ones fitness improves. The chair does not require alot of space and is great for smaller spaces. I highly reccomend this for everyone--not only for seniors.

I am really pleased with this product. It is very well made and well designed. Perfect for larger people, it holds up to 400 pounds. Perfect also for those who are not able bodied, such as myself, as one can exercise and gain muscle strength while sitting comfortably. The chair comes with two band at the next-to-easiest "stretch" level, but also comes with a set of bands for the other levels. Note that this is one pair of each. If you find you need the same resistance at both the top and bottom, you'll need to purchase a second set unless you are okay with moving them back and forth regularly. (I'm not!) Not included, but recommended for those of us with disabilities that preclude bike riding, is the optional short stroke pedaling attachment. My recumbent exercise bike is painful to use now because of my arthritis. This attachment has a shorter turning radius and is much more comfortable for me to use. There is also a "nonskid chair pad" that I am less enthused about, but if you are uncomfortable on a hard seat, it will help. And there are additional DVD's available for this, I've been fine just following the printed material so far. It's easy to understand and to follow. I'm pleased with how easy the resistance chair is to use, and how effective it has been so far. I've already recommended it to friends.

I bought this chair for my mom who had double knee replacement surgery. She was doing very well with her therapy until the weather got cold. When the ice and snow came she was afraid to fall and reduced her visits to the gym for therapy. I bought this chair and her therapy is back on track. It was set up in 30 minutes. We can change the bands in under 30 seconds. The step on the back is great because she uses the back of the chair for stability. She uses the chair 4 times a week and her upper body is improving, her aerobic capacity is increasing, and her therapist says she continuing improvement on her new knees range of motion. The only "bad" part is that twice she's underestimated the amount of work she was actually doing and overdid it, which left her very sore the next couple of days. But that's not the chair's fault. It is a great buy.

Received the roll 1 day earlier than estimated - Good. After unrolling, placement and evaluating it, decided that I needed a 2nd roll. But when I went to the site, the solid black color was unavailable, at any lengths. Turns out that once an item is out of stock, it's unknown when it would be restocked - Bad. So, I'm stuck with an incomplete flooring job that will have to wait. Which is why I went across the board with average ratings. I did not want to out-right order both rolls right out of the gate, not knowing if it was going to work for me, but I also can't fault the product either. This flooring does not give, so it should stand up to exercise equipment nicely, but might be hard on ankles and knees if one was thinking of doing aerobics or jump training. For what I wanted to do, exercise area in the basement (concrete floor) for a bike trainer, solo flex and weight/band stands, it should work out fine. If I ever get it finish and in use, I'll see if I can add to this review.

Bed comforters are notoriously difficult to clean at home because of their bulk and weight. Most bed comforters are quilted and drop at least 15 inches over the sides and foot of the bed. These should be cleaned thoroughly once every three months, and large comforters may need to be dry-cleaned. However, many comforter sets can be cleaned at home if you have the right equipment. Take a look below to learn how to clean bed comforters.
