I purchased this Emerson telescope for my eleven year old son who is totally interested in "big boy toys" but still treats and cares for them like a toddler. I needed something reasonably priced with quality craftsmanship and I got it! He is thouroughly enjoying his gift and I don't have to panic everytime someone bumps into it for fear that it may be broken.

I am very pleased with this purchase and was pleasantly suprised by the sturdiness of the product. It was easy to assemble and is a welcome addition to our stargazing equipment.

My ten year old daughter loves this telescope! It was easy to setup.

love it work great for me on clear nights. i had to learn how to look true it with one eye so i bought an eye patch and it work great for me and my wife.

I will continue to order from Overstock, as I have never had a problem with my puchases until now. Just wish it worked properly as he is a star gazer. Desided just to give it to the 7 yr old granson as he wont know the difference.

This is the perfect telescope for my two young sons. They have recently become interested in the stars and planets. I don't have much experience when it comes to telescopes and other equipment like this, but it has served its purpose well. I will go on to buy a more advanced model when my sons show they are responsible enough. I would say it is perfect for finding out whether star-gazing is a passing phase, or a more significant passtime in life.

TELESCOPE WAS OK BUT NOTHING TO BRAG ABOUT. GREAT ACCENT PIECE. BUT AS A WORKING TELESCOPE COULD BE BETTER. WIIL PAY MORE NEXT TIME AND GET A BETTER WORKING ONE.

Average product. Nothing scientific. Good to be considered a TOY for kids. My son was 11 when he got it, and loved taking it out of box, and putting together. Has maybe used it twice, hard to see thru- hard to use focus. I consider it a Toy.

I have two grandson's 7 yrs. old. I sent one as a Christmas gift & he loved it. I sent another as a birthday present & both Dad's agreed it worked extremely well. In fact the Dad's use it more than the son's. Excellent value for the dollar! In fact my son is taking my grandson to Nasa for last shuttle w/telescope.

The telescope was just perfect for my nephew 12 year old birthady present , I just wanted something more useful and interesting for him...

it is really lightweight and convenient. does anyone know where you can get higher magnification lenses?

I could not focus the telescope on anything over a quarter of a mile Therefore, the item is ueless to me. The packaging material was destroyed so I cannot return it.

This telescope is light weight and easy for my child to move around, to get just the right spot for a star gaze!

I bought this telescope for my grandson's 10th birthday. He has no experience with a telescope but wanted one for his B/D. It's a great buy for a first timer in astronomy--the quality truly surpised me for the price. Excellent choice!
