I was without electricity during "Ike" and decided to be prepared for the next hurricane so I ordered these lamps. The description said they had great illumination but they don't. They are better than sitting in the dark, but instead of paying more money for better ones, I purchased these. They are not bright enough to read a book or magazine or even to play cards.
