For camping and general outdoor cleaning this heater is great!! I mounted it to a 2-wheeled hand dolly with the propane cylinder at the bottom and the heater at the top, hooked up all hoses and put a quick connect on the cold water inlet. Now I have portable hot water and have more uses than I thought!!! This is a very high quality product.

My girlfriend recently moved into a "fixer upper" with only one bathroom that is not working properly yet. I always wanted to set up an outdoor shower anyway so this sped up the process. While studying options like solar heat etc and researching tankless hot water heaters I found info on this unit. I love it! Less than 1/2 hour after unboxing it I had set up a temporary outside shower and installed the unit in it. (Set up of the unit itself took less than 5 min to install 2 D-Cell batteries (not provided) and hook up 5 gallon propane BBQ tank and garden hose to it... Less than 2 seconds after turning it on you have hot water. I was very pleased with how well the igniter works. I was concerned that the water might not get hot enough but was pleasantly surprised to see people having to increase water flow and/or turn down the burner setting from max settings... The water flow is not quite as strong as I would like... (Think of it as a motor home type water flow instead of "normal" shower water flow) I will probably get the L10 model for a more permanent outdoor installation so people can have a stronger water flow AND because I want to install two shower heads next to each other AND provide hot water for an outdoor kitchen while we're at it... WONDERFUL to be able to take a hot shower in the great outdoors... (Thinking of taking it camping with us when/where showers are not readily available.)

Was truly amazed at how well this worked. It met and exceeded my expectations. I bought this to wash my horses and could set the temperature exactly as needed. The water flow is great, and heats up is seconds. Also like the way it preserves on the propane to cut off when the water is not flowing, and sure that helps with safety and preservation of the elements of the heater. Hook up was easy, and we had it working in minutes. Not to mention Overstock.com offered the best price and shipping. Should have done this long time ago. I don't camp, but can see how this would work great for those who do.

Almost burned myself first time I used this shower. I didn't think it could possibly work that well, so I just cranked it up to the highest setting. Surprise, it produced almost instant very hot water. The shower is made of sheet metal and internal wiring is open to the elements. Time will tell how well it stands up to the rain. There is nothing in the instructions that suggests that it should be stored inside when not in use, so I'm inclined to leave it in place until freezing weather arrives.

Love this outdoor shower. It arrived swiftly and worked perfectly.

was unsure about buying but was pleasantly surprised, I wanted it to heat water up for washing up on scout camps, fitted with a 12v dc water pump the heater worked very well on sites and gave instant hot water, I haven't used it with a hose pipe yet but am sure that it will work even better than with the pump that I fitted. Would recommend it to anybody, and it is compact.

We needed hot water for our outdoor sink with a built in cutting board that is used for food prep work for our 2 bar-b-que pits, 2 smokers, and one griddle. This was a much cheaper solution for us since we did not want to spend the money on an ourdoor kitchen.

This product is great for poolside, beaches and bathing pets. It is easy to use and paid for itself minus 2 visits that grooming our dog would have cost us. He loves the warm water and I love the clean bathroom.

Warm water while camping, or at the hunting lodge. Easy to setup, and works well. Water to wash hands, dishes, and even fill a bath tub. The small size and low cost make this a no brainer if you are getting older and want more comforts while camping, fishing, and hunting.

This is a nice concept but when you hook up the water it leaks all over. I can't get the connections tight enough to stop the leaking. I mainly use it too give my dog a bath.

There is only 1 thing that I didn't like out of this whole transaction..and that was that I had to wait a week in getting it, because they mailed it UPS and it came from the east coast all the way to the west.. And stuck it in another box to protect it a little more..I needed the item ASAP and I did, I hope that Over Stock will fix that issue...Now as the item.. I tell you it came with everything, from the regulator to the shower head to the smallest screw and all we had to do it, was to put the battery's in and hook it to the water and the propane and Bam you could take your shower, we also used this for washing our laundry which worked great with the washing machine . Since we have been out of hot water for 3 weeks this item is the best and we are thinking of replacing the old water tank for tankless ones in the house.. The water pressure is good too, it didn't change it and since we have spring water the temp of the water didn't make it work any more than it was already was..So I tell you, this is the way to go now a days.. and it also gives you more space in your room than a big ole water tank.. All they got to do is work on the shipping a little faster and all is done...

After completing our deck addition, I finally decided to add a shower and since this model ECCOTEMP L5 LPG Outdoor Shower has not disappointed. It started right up immediately on the first try! Clear concise labelling and instructions on the unit itself and the owner's manual. Do not forget to use the teflon tape which is supplied, and thhen check for any leaks. The regulators for both water and gas are real and they work well. This ECCOTEMP L5i is an outstanding value in a compact, easy to install and use unit. And there is nothing like a nice warm shower to sooth the senses. You will not be diappointed with this unit. Highly reccomended!

This will be used to wash cars, dogs, and at times people, at my farm. It has easy instructions and clearly marked ports. I really like that a #20 propane tank can be used - since the smaller tanks are more expensive. It is light enough for me to carry it from garage to house easily.

Plenty of heat delivered for full stream of water. Easy to set up and works like a dream. I set up an outdoor shower and was looking for a good way to supply hot water. I was expecting to have at least warm water, but this water heater really delivers the heat! I have been able to run at full stream and had to turn the heat down to make it cool enough to enjoy. This is amazing!

Have a 30ft camper that had a bad water heater .Bought this and "hard plumbed "it in.Works great.Hung it from the side where the old water heater door is.Beats spending $300.00-$400.00 for a tanked water heater.And because it's on demand.......no pilot light.I have to imagine if this heater lasts,it will pay for itself in saved propane.
