I was looking for a nice chess set for my eight-year old granddaughter. This was exactly what I wanted. It is nice looking, and the weighted pieces add to its attractiveness and quality. Looks more expensive than it is.

These are good quality, big pieces. Definitely durable. The color is a little weird for the light colored pieces, I wish it was a true cream color but the students don't seem to mind and they are easy to keep track of. The felt on the bottom makes it easy to move the pieces and keeps them from marring the board. Great value for the money spent. I plan to buy another set!

This is really tripple heavy weight set. It looks very sturdy and heavy duty in terms "break" proof. It does not look like regular plastic.

These chess pieces are exactly what I was looking for. The price was right and the look and feel of the pieces are perfect. I love the weighted feel of them. My husband had made a beautiful chess board for our son for Christmas but we couldn't afford to purchase a wooden set the same size. After reading the reviews of these pieces I decided to order some. I was quite pleased with the quality and my son is too.

My son got a large chessboard at chess camp & we needed larger pieces for it - these work PERFECTLY & the substantial weight of each piece feels REALLY good in your hand. PERFECT for his board!

Very sharp set. The knights are particularly nice, although their being the same height as the bishops does take some getting used to. OTOH, the knights are so detailed, I guess they need that much height. Very heavy, well-made pieces. At least double-weighted; maybe triple. Never owned a Drueke set before, although I was aware of their exalted reputation. If their other products are of this caliber, I'd have to say the reputation is deserved. This is my first purchase from Overstock.com, and I am very pleased with it.

The chessmen are heavy and much better than I expected for the price I paid. A great deal!

I needed chessmen for a cocktail table that opens to an area for playing checkers, chess, and backgammon. After looking in famous toy stores in New York City and even specialty game stores in many cities to no avail, I was dellighted to find exactly what I needed at Overstock.com. The deluxe chessmen are the perfect size and love the heavy weight of each piece.. They seem durable for many, many games to come!

A nice heavy impact resistant plastic set for blitz. If I had a complaint it would be that the Queen is unrefined with no detail in the crown. It looks like a candle stick holder.

This is the best set I've ever seen for under $20. Admittedly plastic, but excellent detail, weight, size, and feel. No case. Each color comes mixed together in a plastic bag, but I can't see any marking from shipping, so I'd expect them to hold up well. Thin felting on the bottom. Certainly there are better sets out there, but none for this price.
