Too Cool!
I ordered 4 of these (along with other back packing gear) to give to my sons and husband for Christmas. I thought that these were really cool...but the reaction from my guys told me that I had hit a home run. These are sturdy, well made and really useful tools.

well-made clunker
I haven't used it enough to tell how good the steel is. The only obvious problem is that it is heavy, real heavy. You will want to carry it in a vehicle unless your foot trip is very short. On the good side, the heft of this thing aids in cutting ability, as I have made mine pretty sharp. And it is not going to break very easily.
