Absolutely satisfied with the product and shipping it.Read More
This tent is a great size. It's not really a six person tent, that would be pretty tight, but it sure fits four with lots of room. Great height, lots of room, the screened porch is great!! The rain fly is wonderful, one side of the tent is screened with the rain fly offering the closure, great ventilation. I put this tent up, on my own (I am a female) in less than 15 mins. Great colors!!Read More
Simply put: do not buy a tent through ***, or other big camping distributors because normally you would pay hundreds more for a tent of this quality. I got a great price, and when I contacted customer support because the price increased between the day I looked at it, and the day of purchase, Overstock even credited me back that difference. So it went from being a good price, to a great one. Given this is my first purchase here, I would have to give high ratings for every step of the process. Now I have an awesome family tent to use on all of our camping trips. Would I purchase things like this again from here? Absolutely. Overstock seems to be the place to find these type of bargains.Read More
This tent was super easy to set up, I put it up by myself in 10 or so minutes. the front screened in section is a great feature, you can leave your shoes and other camping essentials out there and not have to worry about them getting wet or having to store them inside the tent with you.Read More
I bought this tent because I often camp alone and read a few reviews stating it could be set up by one person. I had no problems at all setting it up. It was quick and easy. Enough space for two large dogs and the ridiculous amount of stuff I bring camping (home away from home). We had a heavy dew during the nights but the tent stayed dry and it was warm inside with the door and windows zipped closed. I'm guessing the temperature dropped to 40. I would suggest a ground cover under the tent to protect the floor. Some sharp rocks were stressing the floor even with the old tent floor I used as a ground cover.Read More
it's a good tent. IT's really big, fairly easy to set up and take down. Cool features, love the "screened in porch." it rained on us, and we stayed dry, so that's a bonus.Read More
We took this tent camping with us last weekend. It is very roomy and looks nice. It inst very hard to put together either. We will be purchasing new stakes since the ones it came with are pretty cheap and do not have pointed ends so they are difficult to put into the hard ground. Overall it is a nice tent and we are excited to use it again.Read More
On the recommendation of a friend I decided to buy a big car camping tent with headroom. This one fits the bill, I can almost stand up straight in it (I'm 5'10") The screen porch is nice too. Set up was pretty straightforward and we stayed dry through a light rain. It took three of us to get all the tent components back in the bag when it came time to break camp. That's the only real negative. Seems like a good enough car camping tent, not super high quality, but you get what you pay for in tents.Read More
Questions & Answers
Hi jfarrell, the size of it packed is 8.1 inches L x 8.1 inches W x 27.2 inches H. I hope this helps, thank you for shopping with us.
Well you will NEVER get the tent, poles, and rain fly back in to the original, tight package it came in. I would suggest getting a bigger drawstring bag for storage. On a plane, it should fit easily in the overhead storage.
what is the weight on the tent?
Thank you for your inquiry, caribe8. This tent ships out at 19 pounds, so it will be a bit less than that. We hope this helps. Thank you for shopping with us.
Does the screen room portion have a floor?
Thank you for contacting us geg4. Yes, the screen room portion has a floor. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Yes, the same floor as the tent itself (akin to a strong-fibered tarp).
Does the tent come with a rain fly?
Thank you for contacting us jimd1949. Yes, the rainfly is included. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Does the screen porch also close up to protect from rain
Hello katheye, No, the screen porch doesn't close up to protect from rain, but the interior closure closes up, so you would be protected that way. Thanks for shopping with us.
Are the windows mesh and solid for privacy
This item has a privacy vent window, open mesh on two sides, and a zip-up window in the back.
Tips on Camping with Your Coleman Tent
Tent camping is a popular way to escape the city and enjoy the outdoors firsthand. There is something special about having only one protection between you and the elements: your Coleman tent. Here are a few ideas to make sure you and your Coleman tent get off on the right foot on your next camping trip.
How to Clean and Care for Coleman Tents
Coleman tents are a major component of a safe, comfortable and enjoyable camping experience. But even the best Coleman tents depend on proper care and cleaning to make sure they can last. There are a few things you can do to make sure your Coleman tent will last for years to come. The next time you go camping, you won't have to worry about sleeping in a grubby tent or damage caused by poor maintenance as long as you follow a few important steps.
Best Coleman Tent for Your Camping Trip
No two camping trips are the same. Luckily, Coleman makes tents for every condition and climate, so you can find a Coleman tent that suits your location. Whether you are backpacking in high altitude or setting up camp in your back yard, make sure you have the right tent for your situation. You'll never have to cram your family into a small hiking tent or lug a heavy tent on your backpacking trip when you have the best tent for your camping trip.
How to Choose a Tent
It can be so great to be out in nature camping, roasting marshmallows and gazing up at the stars. But after a day full of the outdoors, it's time to retire to your home away from home, your tent. It won't give you all the conveniences of home, but a tent should keep you dry and protected from critters while you sleep. It should also hold most of your camping gear and give you a place to go if the weather isn't cooperating. So buy a tent hoping you will only sleep in it, but also buy a tent that will be comfortable to be awake in as well.
Tents Buying Guide
When you get out of the house and live under a tent, even for a night or two, you are joining a tradition as old as humanity. Nowadays, camping tents are used for recreation more than as a necessity. Still, there is a timeless appeal about camping in a tent. Modern tents come in a wide variety of sizes and styles. Knowing a few basics will help you purchase exactly the tent you need for your next expedition. We're more than happy to help you find it.
How to Set up a Tent
Setting up a tent can seem a complex task for any first-time camper. Tents are an essential and useful piece of camping gear, for sure, but many frustrated campers have cursed their camping tent as they've tried to set it up in the dark without proper preparation. However, once you've set up a tent several times, it becomes a familiar routine that can easily be repeated even in the most difficult hiking and camping conditions, and once you've mastered setting up one kind of tent, it will then be easier to set up other kinds of tents, be they dome tents or family tents. Camping and hiking should be enjoyable, and they certainly can be if you know how to set up your camping and hiking equipment. Here are the steps that will help you set up tents for camping quickly and efficiently.
Tips on Choosing the Perfect Coleman Lantern
