I have purchased clubs from Overstock before including Cobra and never had problems, but this club just didn't have the quality of the others. Turns out the item I received was fake, a Chinese knock-off. Per the Cobra website for determining if the club was fake: 1. It did not contain a serial number. All clubs manufactured after 2011 contain a serial number as do my other older Cobra clubs. 2. The supposedly alloy head was steel per the simple magnet test that Cobra recommends. 3. The item did not contain a name brand shaft but instead a mass produced generic model that is very cheap and known to be installed in most knock off brands. Overstock took care of me issuing a free return and offering several choices to refund my money. I'm sure you could play with this club, but if I'm going to buy a knock off I'm not paying regular club prices.
After having some difficulty with my irons I decided to try a hybrid that would give a 150 to 160 yards. This club had a 29* loft so I thought it would be worth trying especially for the price. The first club that was shipped was the Cobra S2 instead of the S3 as ordered but an exchange was made within a 2 day period allowing me to use the club very quickly. I am able to get the expected yardage and the feel is very solid. I would recommend this club to anyone looking for more confidence and consistency. Overstock.com is a very easy company to work with in ordering and if necessary in correcting your order.
feels great on nearly all hits. Hit it 180-190yds, so I replaced my 5iron w/this club. I get much more consistent shots with this Cobra instead of the 5iron out of my PING iron set - even though it has the standard factory shaft and my irons are custom fitted/shafted.
