This is an excellent value. The radios work very well and the functions are easy to operate.

Once we got past the bazillion public channels and entered our own privacy code, use and operation were a breeze. Good product for the price.

I bought these for my grandson and he loves them! They are very easy to operate and you can hear clearly over them. They are durable and kid-friendly but good enough for an adult to use. Good product for the low price!

He loves them and mom and dad can keep in touch. I would tell every parent to get a pair.

We got the walkie talkies so we could communicate from one side of the building site to the other. Works great for this. Also useful when backpacking when one group gets away from the other. The don't seem to work the stated 5 miles, but within one or two they seem to be okay. These work where cell phones won't. Turn them off to avoid running the battery down, and turn on at designated times. "Synchronize watches." Easy to figure out how to use. Good price. No evidence of being used item.

we purchased multiple sets for our business - we run a motel - they work perfectly. If someone is working on the pool or out on the grounds we can get a message to them without searching - price was great for the product.

We are very well satisfied with the radios. So far we have used them at a 3 mile distance and they worked fine. Came in very handy when my husband was outside and received a phone call. I didn't have to open the door and call him, i just used the two-way.

Did not come with charger, and when batteries are at half life the walky talky doesn't operate properly. Dissapointed as a gift to my son. I don't know if it has to do with it being refurbished or not... but what ever the case, I expected better on this item. Haven't tested the 5mi range yet.

Worked well on the cruise, even from a lower cabin to an upper deck.

Once I could figure out how to get the clip off to get to the battery compartment I loved them. I gave one to my parents next door and have one for me that way they can keep in touch when I'm out in my yard, etc. Would definitely recommend this product.

...because if the power to the cell towers is out, you have no communications to anyone. These are also useful where cell coverage is poor. I gave four stars instead of 5 because of the documentation. I haven't actually read through it because it didn't motivate me to read through it, and the text is very small. I haven't used the devices much, so I may have to come back and revise or try to create a new review on the usage. I was going to skip adding this review, but Overstock is performing a valuable function (market clearing for companies that have valuable stuff and not enough resources to find buyers), and gave me a great price, so I figured I should help them out. Emergency preparedness is becoming more important, and that's why I bought these.

Used these while traveling out of the country in areas w/o cell coverage. Worked like a charm. I only give them 4 stars because of the FCC License requirement.

Tried this last night. Clear as a bell to the distance we tried (about 1/4 mile). I am sure it would have reached much further due to the clarity. Several channels, easy to use, belt hook, sturdy, lightweight. Great little product. Highly recommended.

these raidos were a real good investment for me and my son. we traveled to paris france on seperate flights , both arriving about 1 hour apart. we were to meet at the baggage claim area and when i arrived he was nowhere to be found. I turned on my radio and he answered right away , so we were able to meet up right away. the airport at paris is huge with many terminals.

These radios are my son's newest tech toy. Either in the back yard or for the family to use when we visit the park it keeps us in touch easily. Good reception. Good battery life. Lots of features for the price.

I ordered these for a trip my family was going on. I like to have radios for when we split up, as cell phones are unreliable in Mexico. I'm very happy with the set. I like the 'ring' feature. You can call each other with a ring (like a phone). Range was great. I would recommend .

After looking at various devices like the one I purchased, I can truly say that the two-way radio that I got from Overstock was by far the best value. It works as advertised and serves my purpose admirably. Can't say enough good things about the product I bought.

Our family has used these on long bike rides. We live in a small town and have had good reception within a few miles. My 8 and 10 year old LOVE them. They used them to talk back and forth between our cars on a recent trip to the beach. They work well on the VOX mode and we have had no problem with feedback or interference from other users. We use them at the beach for a line of communication back to the house. They work great for calling the house and asking for delivery of snacks or other forgotten items.
