I purchased these radios for use in Iraq. There are a group of us who usually hangout together because of work. We are over here fighting the war and at least 3 times a week the base is attacked. We must call into work to let everyone know we are alive after an attack and the radios have come in handy. They are pretty sturdy...battle tested:) We hit the dirt alot; radios and all. The only complaint we have, which I doubt can be fixed, is the reception does not travel well through concrete. Overall I would suggest these radios to pretty much anyone. Batteries last about three days.

I am happy with the purchase and found it to be a great deal. I was expecting it to be rechargable with a charging stand, but that is not included. It is no big deal, but I just wasn't expecting it.

We always take a pair of "walkie talkies" to Mexico when we go so that we can communicate while on the hotel grounds. In the past, we had trouble with all kinds of interference. Not this time! These were great! Easy to use, did not lose signal, batteries stayed strong. I am so glad I bought them! Highly recommend!

I just used these to travel with my husband. He was in the Rental Truck, I was in our car. They worked great! They didn't have as much of a range as I wanted (worked fantastic within visual range, but around corners and bends, not as well) but all in all, these were a great investment. My husband loved the surprise too.

We used these when we went camping to our family reunion. We could take the boat out and be gone for awhile and still know what was going on back at camp. They were great for the 7 hours we had to travel. Each of the 3 cars had a walkie talkie ( we had another set). Thanks

IT WOULD WORK JUST AS GOOD IF I JUST YELLED. EVERY TIME i TURNED IT ON IT WAS MORE STATIC THEN THE OTHER PERSON TALKING AND WE WHERE ONLY 1.5 MILES AWAY FOR EACH OTHER.

I cannot believe these things were under ** bucks! I never write reviews but these are a fantastic deal. My daughter rides her bike to the park about 2 miles away and I can hear her perfectly sitting at home on my couch. Despite many homes, buildings and trees in between us, these suckers still work at over 2 miles. Very easy to use- we don't mess with channels. Just pop in some AAAs and you're good to go. Very highly recommended- thanks overstock!

Bought this for my kids to communicate around the neighborhood with us. Great range. Our 6 year old is great with it. Easy to use and explain to kids. Only uses 3 AAA batteries, not 4. Has a battery saving mode after 10 seconds of non-use, so helps battery life. Like it and good for the family!

Good product. Performs as well as I expected. Of course range is limited in tree areas or near lots of buildings but that is true of all citizen band radios.

The instructions were easy to understand to set up for use. The product works great in the distance it is designed for.

I PURCHASED 2 SETS OF TWO WAY RADIO'S.ONE SET WORKED THE OTHER SET DIDN'T WORK AT ALL SO I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS RADIO.

These small hand held 2 way radios were a gift for my neighbor girls so when they are playing outside they communicate with their parent easily. The radios have are easy enough for younger children to use and have a great range! They can even use them if they go to their friends house which is a couple blocks away with no problems.

the packg came w/ no charger however my brothers kids say they love to talk on them. i guess he'll have to load up on batteries.

I purchased these walkie talkies for my 7 year old grandaughter. She ablolutely loves them. She is having so much fun!

I bought them for my kids, so when they go to their friends house down the street I can get ahold of them. However, these do not reach 5 miles like stated. Overall, my children have fun with them and I can get talk to them easily,instead of trying to track them down.
