I am happy with the purchase and found it to be a great deal. I was expecting it to be rechargable with a charging stand, but that is not included. It is no big deal, but I just wasn't expecting it.

I am very pleased with the Cobra walkie talkies that I purchased through overstock.com. I'm taking them on a cruise tomorrow but I've also used them with my grandkids at the mall. They are easy to use, voices come through clear and I like the weather channel. Thanks Overstock.com

These small hand held 2 way radios were a gift for my neighbor girls so when they are playing outside they communicate with their parent easily. The radios have are easy enough for younger children to use and have a great range! They can even use them if they go to their friends house which is a couple blocks away with no problems.

I bought them for my kids, so when they go to their friends house down the street I can get ahold of them. However, these do not reach 5 miles like stated. Overall, my children have fun with them and I can get talk to them easily,instead of trying to track them down.

I just used these to travel with my husband. He was in the Rental Truck, I was in our car. They worked great! They didn't have as much of a range as I wanted (worked fantastic within visual range, but around corners and bends, not as well) but all in all, these were a great investment. My husband loved the surprise too.

I bought these as a gift for my 13yr old nephew and he and his brother had a blast with them in the house. I can't verify if they actually work for the whole 5 mile range as stated but I own the 2 mile ones and they work great. Since a re-furb the packaging was really lacking (a small plain brown box with the Cobra instructions and 2 wt's in it,) but other than that I was really pleased for the money. Thanks Overstock.

I didn't realize these radios need batteries, which is not only inconvenient, but adds to the overall cost and weight. My previous 2-ways all had chargers included. My mistake, I guess.

One of the radios did not work. I bought them for a specific event so did not use them right away and then had thrwon away receipt etc by the time I figured out that one was broken.
I know these radios were refurbished but there is no way they were tested out prior to selling.
I ended up not having them for the specific event that I had purchased them for.

I purchased the Cobra 2 way radio for my 9 year old daughter. I was hoping this would satisfy her desire to have a cell phone. I was apprehensive about them working. I have purchased "walkie talkies" in the past, which never quite worked as advertised.
She opened them on Christmas morning and put them to the test, They worked and still work great!
We even left them with an aunt, to test how well they worked within 2 miles and they did...perfectly!
She and her friend talk from house to house and they are thrilled with the clarity.
I would definitely recommend. Don't buy your children cell phones until you have to!

These two way radios are lots of fun for a great price! We clearly get the local weather forcast, and radios transmit clearly. We have not had any problems with them and would highly recommend them!

well but you will not get 5 mile range out of it. Maybe if 1 is on a
mountain and the other is in line of sight you could get 5 miles , but
that is really pushing it. 1 mile is about the best in my opinion . But
in that range it is great and it surves my use . The price is great.

I bought these especially for me and my 8 year old son so when he's outside, I don't have to yell his name anymore to get him. I just use these radios. They work awesome. Even if he's upstairs, we use them. Haven't really tried them way far away. But, around here, they're great. I'd recommend them......

The product is great but the instructions were AWFUL!! The photo doesn't match the actual product so it was very difficult to figure out the operation of the walkie talkies.

Up to 5 miles is what the radius is supposed to be on these walkie talkies. I didn't quite get a mile out of them. I have not tried them on the open interstate yet, I suspect they will pick up a bit better, but I cannot even get them to pick up just down the road from my house. I was disappointed in the range. They appear to have other features but they are not the easiest to use.
